...Just don't listen...
Just don't listen to what the Western media says about China, they usually exaggerate negative aspects (what is bad).
China's not Communism anymore. People in China are now satisfied with their lives. They live in neither poverty nor spoiled lives.
Just DON'T FULLY TRUST what the Western media/ Western documents says about China.
I've lived in China, and never experienced limited rights nor brutality.
China is one of the top Country to be bashed by the United States, insulting under the table (they won't directly insult, that would show their true colour).
China is very different now, they are better now, they are not the country you know of 20 years ago.
However, China's not absolutely perfect, neither is the United States... China's media, Chinese people, does bash the United States, in fact Chinese people welcome and are nice to Americans.
America sometimes judge China in certain events, when it has nothing to do with them. They make false reports on events, taking things for granted.
That's what made you people think of China so bad.
My timeline is based in the 21st century.

I know I should be talking about the Japanese earthquake, because that's the bigger topic... but... I'm just going to say this. As a Chinese, I don't hate Japanese people. They've changed within the 60 years.

Keep comments like these to yourself. Your in no position to bash anyone. Regardless of what you think the U.S. did what right/wrong. The U.S is a diverse country meaning we allow Chinese people in as well and there are people like me who like and admire Chinese people and if you don't like what we have to say then good for you. Don't make a thread bashing my country, I'll put up a hell of a fight.

I never bashed on your country. To be more specific, I meant to say is do not trust what the Western media says about China, try at least confirming what happens. -
I never bashed on your country. I've only suggested that the United States shouldn't bash our country.
We don't bash on your country, like in S.A were only looking out for it so it doesn't fall to Communism. The U.S always looks our to countries so they don't fall to Communism. Plus China still has hints of Communism which is what you guys are rioting for. -

Regardless of the unperfect leaders and human instinct of greed, Communism is actually a peaceful society, everybody is equal. Americans didn't want to give up their current wealth, that's why they hated it.
Communism is not evil. -
For one everyone bashes the US .
Case two, i'm pretty sure China has 8 year olds working in factories getting **** pays
Pure communism is impossible. Humans can not be that peaceful for that long
No, the government would totally arrest who's having child labour.
Pure Communism is impossible, the reason why China doesn't really want to become fully Capitalistic is because they don't want Union. Union would have people going on strike, which decrease efficiency for the people, and the economy. -

People are getting paid to do absolutely nothing. A hard working man/woman gets paid equal to a person who does nothing. That sounds fair? What happen to Russia back then? They went through a great revolution to get RID of Communism. Just like Russia, China overtime will become Capitalist, even if you don't like it. Plus we don't exaggerate our thoughts on China, it's simply our views/thoughts on China, which to you guys may seem exaggerated. -

Try listening to what eye witnesses say, the genuine facts.
Chinese people are hard working... but never unsatisfied with their jobs. Also, to be honest, when there's a large number of Chinese labourmen, there has to be a large number of Chinese businessmen, due to the population. -

Try comparing news... look at newses from the Chinese sides first before you look at the Western sides... for example:
The Tibetan riots... It was actually the monks that started the riot, civilians have not much of a clue of what's going on. The PLA was sent to Tibet NOT to kill innocent civilians like wht the Western media says. They were there to save the Han people (Mainland Chinese) from the violence. ( I don't have time to explain all the details of this event, it's pretty long.)
CNN done something... they've modified photos from the event... which means they were making false reports.

I believe he said views. Lol. Which are not opinions or else we would call them opinions. Then why have two words for the same thing? They are different, simply because they are different words.
tl;dr views can be wrong.
"Then why have two words for the same thing?"
Synonyms for big: large, massive, humongous, huge etc.
I proved my point. -

How is this relating to anything were talking about? You stated the the U.S exaggerates about China in a nutshell. That's completely wrong, there our own views/opinions. I never said that Chinese people aren't hardworking, I know there very hard working. The U.S. is simply trying to help stop the spread of Communism until this very day. Regardless if you like/dislike Communism, China will soon become democratic with all these riots for more right and thing. -

You may know that, but most people don't. They still think China is a bad society. Try examining what they say next time. They may become democratic, but not fully. These riots happened due to misunderstandings.
The Tibetan riot is a good example, a good proof for you, only if you examine it from the Chinese prospective. How did that happened is an even longer story than you'd ever think. -

Most people don't know? Who says China is a bad society? Ok, so please teach me about the Tibetan riot. Which I'm sure is gonna end up being the same thing were all thinking. -

No... it's not.
Here's a brief explaination.
They've never examined what the Tibetan's old way of life was... Their old way of life was slavery. 99% of all Tibetans in the very old days were slaves to the monks, they were treated like cattles. The CCP made a deal with the Dalai Lama, in Tibet they can keep their slavery way of lives, but in some small provinces east of Tibet (those were formally part of Tibet, they were split from Tibet during the Qing Dynasty) has to follow the Communism rules (this is around the 50s). Monks in those small provinces were unsatisfied, because they have to give up their wealth and riches to everybody around them (their slaves). The monks then gone to Tibet and reported this to the Dalai. He heard of this then was angry with the Chinese government. Soon, conflicts happened. The Tibetan monks (slavers), were forced to India as refugees. In 2008 they went back to China, Tibet to start that demonstration, because they want to be independent so the monks can live their old lives again (slavery). The rights they claim to be taken away by the government was the rights to enslave Tibetan civilians. The rioters are fighting for a bad freedom. Some civilians don't understand what's going on, so they believed in the monks. But overall, majority of Tibetans do have a good relationship with China.
This is the truth, if you still don't believe me, try asking other Chinese (not youngs/teens). This is something you've never heard from the Western news. -
....So since when has anyone completely trusted the media o.o, BTW average american is dumb enough to believe that China could defeat the USA in a war, lul wut.
Why would we go to war with them first off? Unless they did something pretty stupid, theres no reason to think/believe that. We have enough wars to deal with right now tyvm. -

China is like a Shaolin Monk, defensive, full of skills, and forgives their enemy (invaders). Attacking the United States is and will never be their intention.
OT: Maybe some of you respect China and the Chinese people, like them, or just simply don't think China's a bad place. However, there are a majority of your fellow Americans who disrespects China/Chinese. It's just sad to see what THESE certain Americans think of themselves...
Oh, just to tell you guys one more thing... When Americans offend Chinese people, most of the time they don't counter. No matter what, Chinese people would still forgive Americans even after if they insult them.
In this thread, I'm trying to persuade the people of North America to stop thinking of Chinese as "pathetic filthy Communists", only for the people that do. -
