well, the soun d of the type-89 reverberates through a long range, but the final sound sounds like a small whisper, so, people do not recognize it as a gun sound, so, making it silenced would make it the most silent gun in the game =o

yea i wish ak would have silencer, but it wouldnt supress it NO what if it has silencer on m12 and sg. for all those spraying gm players

It's not a "silencer". It's called a suppressor.

he doesn't changes the ammo type, it still do the "sonicboom" wich actually does a lot of the sound that you hear when a gun is fired, look at this video:

the volume isn't the problem itself, but the kind of sound is just too recognizable
so, it does give away your position better than the type-89 wich can be heard, but the sound is just so "quiet" that it doesn't give away your position that easily .-.
