What would YOU do?

m4a1-adv, since it got a camouflage skin, a good supressor, more bullets in the mags, also, the sights doesn't need any kind of power source, like the red dot ones on the m4a1-c and m4a1-cc.
I would take the psg-rd since it got an bigger mag, also, irl it is one of the most accurate SR's on the world up to 800m (where the higher caliber bullets ake their throne) and it's smaller caliber bullets allows me to carry more of'em with me.
For a pistol i would like a glock-18, extended c-mag with 100 bullets  -
kantana. guns and snipers specifically are obsolete in the face of such overwhelming numbers unless you happen to have a military base in your possesion.
sure m60 adv and gattlings are great. but good luck carrying enough ammo do do significant damage.
consider me. i live in a small city. this small city has population of several hundred thousand people. if they were infected its simply not practical to try and kill them all.
*and any of you guys who even mentioned a sniper are going to die. great you can kill in one shot. but you got 5 bullets in your clip good luck taking down a rambling hoard.
kantana and run around hiding. look for survivors, look for a cure. and wait for them to fight amongst them selves the thin the numbers. -
First of all, I'm happy to see how many post my thread is getting, that's really cool.
I want you guys to consider this: Can you escape a horde of mutants chasing you while carrying a M60 or worst, a Gatling Gun? Or a heavy Sniper Rifle such as AWM? I don't think so. Think about real life guys! Why would you take an axe over a katana?
My best weapons for THAT situation:
AS: M4A1-Custom
SMG: MP5-Adv
Pistol: Glock-18
Sniper Rifle: M700 or PSG-1 Red Dragon
Melee Weapon: Katana all the way -

oh well, if i had estabilished an base with heavy reinforcements, i could snipe the zombies from up the building to open some routes for people to gather resources. If i was the guy gathering resources i would take a mp5-adv (it's 9x19mm bullet can penetrate skulls even while using subsonic charges, the silencer would help keeping the low profile, the weapon's light and have a big clip/accuracy, making every shot count.
But, if i had to flee from a mumbling horde, i would get a sack full of grenades, and run while dropping them.... -

yes i mentioned that about the base.
but either way, it would take you a thousand years to snipe enough zombies to make a significant difference -

well, we could just construct a device to throw nades in them couldn't we?
But, sniping will attract the attention of the zombies to the heavily barricaded base, making a possible route to the survivors to get a escape/transport route (the barricades could be just destroyed stairs/elevators, the survivors would use a rope ladder) and so on, sniping would be useful only for that, or eliminating priority targets, such as the zombie that's about to grab one of the survivors that's holding down some other zombies.
Well, i would walk there and there without any companions, with a crossbow, it's silent, there's plenty of ammo (that's light, and you can find packages with 100's of'em in sports malls) and it's effective (the darts that most of'em shoot have a steel tip, wich can penetrate the skull and cause damage to the brain :] -
Fal camo- Strong as sht and 60/600 ammo I think
Katana- Keep your distance and do damage
DSR-1- Its lighter than the other sniper rifles and smaller
Dual colts
In in reality i would choose these
Instead of a m16 it would be a scar-L with the same modifications

Beretta 92FS
M110 Sass

cross bows take like 10 years to reload btw -

Well, I don't think there's such a thing as a portable Gatling Gun, but you could easily escape a slowly-shuffling zombie horde with an AWM (~30 pounds) or M60 (actually not all that heavy for a MG). -

you could put those weapons on your backpack, get your pistol out, and runnn, it's easir when the weight isn't on your arms :x
also, soldiers have to fight with 50kg backpacks filled with equipment+their weapons+mags/ammo .-. and they still can run pretty fast to do not get shot lol -

M60 weights around 11kg as empty, and ~13-15kg whit 100bullet belt. AWM 6-7kg both are quite heavy weapons and u will notice the weight especiatly if u are carrying something else whit you as well. -

It is easier to run weapon in ur hands than carry it on ur back. And not soldiers wont carry their full equipment in firefights.
Just realized I cant get military intelligence ribbon, useless to post. -
Well assuming that we have the strength our characters do on crossfire, I'd go with a mp5-adv why? It's lightweight, silenced, and asuuming you need to change clips easy clip changes.
In this situation though it'd be 10x safer being with others, a lone soldier is a dead soldier afterall.
