New PC :D

My new pre-built pc just arrived :D on 15 FPS from before, Egypt i would keep a gay 1.5 KD rifling now i have a freaking 3 KD on 60-180 FPS rifling :D (FPS jumps depending on smoke/number of people dying, shooting, etc.)

I bought this PC for a price of 700 bucks. ATI Radeon 5450 (i think 54 something) AMD Phenon II 6 core. Is it expensive for a prebuilt pc?

actually it is, depending on the other parts, but the custom-built PC assisted by people who actually understand computers is the best way to get over 9000 fps on CF :3
  • SORRY TO SAID, BUT I BOUGHT THE amd Phenon II 4 core, with a nivdia 9800 gt - MB asus for around 3 hundred and my FPS is around 150 - 230
  • I don't really know all about PCs, so I just buy the most expensive thing, confident that it'll give me over 9000 FPS. For like, over 9000 bucks. But then my friend bought a PC that cost $500 and it gave him almost as much FPS as me.

    Just not over 9000.

Put your video card settings on low settings
    and disable the Catalyst A.I

That should increase the fps even more...
  • set resolution low and with a six core, you should be able to over clock, right?
  • set resolution low and with a six core, you should be able to over clock, right?

    Crossfire only uses 1 core

So even if you got 100000000000 cores
    Crossfire will only use 1

So it's always the best to get a CPU with at least 2 ghz anything higher will only increase your FPS if it's lower than 2 ghz get ready for fps lag...

Heh, if you're with a person that really know computers, it'll give you the best pc under your budget, you just have to set your price :]

You might get that much in a 1v1 But i get 60-120 in a 8v8 with smoke.

If i always have a FPS higher than 60, is there a point doing that? i heard somewhere that when its above 60 FPs you won't notice a difference. ( and my refreshing rate for my monitor is 60 per second?)

are you sure, when you go into the BIOS and set the auto for the core and in the GUI for the cpu, you should have a option to balance the use of the cpu.

Now depending if you are using a 64x or 86x then you may only need one core, but then you put the services running in the background and and app or program the user may have open, then you going to need more then one core. 4 cores is all you need untill the OS's in the world start runnig at more then 128Bits then 6 core will = 2 core
  • The 5450's a casual gamers card. It'll do the job, but it won't astound you.

But it's still VERY overpriced, compared to what you could've done yourself.

But if you're happy with it, that's all that really matters.
  • Sometimes its a rip-off simetimes its a good deal

60 fps is what your eyes only can see ya that is true

But I just wanted to let you know you can still increase your fps :D

If you got 6 core crossfire will only use 1 and the other core will be used by the system.... or other programmes that are running in the background

And if ghz is lower than 2ghz you may experience fps lag even if you got a great video card
if you change cpu usages from services to programmes
it will still use 1 core but it will use the core at max performance
your fps will increase I have tested that is because the core goes on max performance
for the programme your running and not because it uses more core's...
