True, but it would be a waste, most games don't support over 16 threads as it stands, that amd has about 40-60?
It would be better to go with a higher clocked processor with a low thread count, that is optimized for physics and graphics calculations than a server processor. -

Kinda think it will surpass the 6990. Also, I've heard the cooling on the 6990 is pretty damn horrible.
When i had the ATI 5670, th fan was very loud and there crossfire was not very good
