HGW Loading Problems

seems like this solution works (:

win xp sp3 HGW stops at 93%. it's running in task manager but no message about any error??? just vanish from screen.

Emmm i have problem whit HGW to! it loads the steps but then nothing the game doesnt start i look in windows task meniger it shows HGW is still running but it doesnt show the game please help me

Don't Z8 Games test their damn patches???

Couple of days ago I got what I hope was a false positive downloading a patch:

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.CodecPack.akxq
C:\Program File\Z8Games\Crossfire\XTrap\XTrapVa.dll

Today when I logged on, I got to play a partial game, then a message appeared saying a hacking tool had been detected (bull****, don't use them, wouldn't want to even find out where to go to download them) and got dc'd.

Logged on again (after switching Zonealarm to Game Mode - which I should not have to do, but it has worked in the past when I've had issues) and now I'm getting:

"Failed to connect to server: W[2003] L[0]"

Running Windows 7 Ultimate, fully up to date, and Zonealarm Security Suite. My modem has the firewall switched off.

I appreciate the efforts to keep the hackers out - they just spoil it for everyone, they are just kiddies with tiny pen.is.es - but for god's sake don't throw the baby out with the bathwater!!!

please help, I've tried re downloading soooooo many times. It gets to 93% then back to desktop.

so, when I go into the crossfire often do not pass the login, then stands there and gives disconect of server, etc.. I can only play games and engage more easily in the 3 uk server and have a good ping, but it is so, I wonder how I can fix this, because I get to be unwilling to play the crossfire and then just go back to playing when it comes back to give. s everyone knows, ping game depends on the location of the server. Servers Alpha Bravo Dealta Foxtrot CrossFire in the game are located in Canada, and my ping was from 70 do 75 +. That is, I have decided that we must find servak ??"closer" to play well and started to play on servers UK Server 1,2,3,4, and the pin was not raised above 80, I was very pleased.
Suddenly Trouble - I go into the game on the UK server, but I have ping 320. I am puzzled. You must install CF on a USB stick etc.
