Game closes with error on Win XP

I downloaded Cross fire for my pc with win xp
on my other computer with win vista it works perfect

but on this pc the games installes, the patcher runs, patches the game, the game watcher works, downloads, and works, and then, when the game is expected to start, i get the microsoft message that ... has got an error.

could someone help me please? A german anser would be perfect

Hey ,

awalys when i start Crossfire there comes an error "Client MFC Application funktioniert nicht mehr (german)" ->"Client MFC Application doesnt work"

what can i do ? is that at all ? or only for me ?

ich denk ich hab ne lösung.
und zwar, wenn du im CrossFire ordner die exe-datei "crossfire" ausführen willst, kommt ja die hgwc meldung "close the game then try again"

diese datei is der "Client MFC Application"
ich lass mir die selbe datei grad von nem kumpel schicken.
ich berichte gleich, obs geht

i downloaded windows service pack 2 and upgraded my pc, then restarted it and it worked
