How can I solve this?

I have barely managed to install the game but I cannot launch it, getting a pop-up which looks like this:

Yes, I think this happens when there is a server "overload" when you are trying to download the patch. Try starting the game again in 4-6 hours and your game will start patching.

I think thats what it is, but I am not sure.

"Failed to download version.ini."

I get the same message when i try to start crossfire. I use win 7 and a wireless connection. All necessary ports are open. Do anyone have an idea what´s wrong?

Solved

I solved this by granting access to all crossfire application in AVG11´s firewall. I had forgot to do that.

Crossfire startup

When I open Crossfire I press the "Start Game" button then it asks me if I want to allow the patcher application then crossfire disappears and it says "Failed to download version.ini" What happenned? I have windows 7.
