Anopheles mosquito
The deadliest creature on earth, the anopheles mosquito, is responsible for more than 300 million cases of malaria each year, and causes between one and three million deaths. Malaria affects 10% of the world’s population, making it the leading mosquito-borne disease. The 3,000 species of mosquito, including some 200 in North America, do not all carry the same diseases.

Humans are the deadliest creature on the planet. If they aren't busy slaughtering each other, they are busy slaughtering everything else that lives.

Yup. Humans kill everything. o_o From the lovely trees to cows and then to people. XD -
No, I don't really care whether they are considered the deadliest creatures or not. I was just saying that the gun example and the mosquito example are two very different examples that I don't think can be compared to each other. So just because mosquitoes don't have "motivation" to kill, means they aren't the deadliest creature? -
Figured you'd say something like that... but Munchy beat me to the punch. (aff)I'll give you a situation.
Bob kills Joe with a handgun.
The handgun didn't kill Joe.
Bob did
Shooting a handgun is a conscious act; the person is aware of the deadly potential of the weapon, and is required to go through thoughtful preparation for it to work (loading, aiming, shooting).
Malaria isn't a tool used by the mosquito, but the other way around. The malaria virus uses the insect to transmit itself and spread.
A closer comparison would be AIDS virus:
Bob has AIDS, and sleeps with 4 partners. They contract the disease and eventually die. Does this make Bob a murderer, or the deadliest person alive? -

Maybe he thought running bare in the rain felt better?
we will agree again, he still is guilty for not wearing his raincoat!
Dropping the umbrella and embracing the rain is a liberating feeling... I think Ricky Martin wrote a song about it
