A idea for the Military Intelligence ribbon

People with post counts 250 or less can only post 10 times a day
People above 250 can post as much as the want as it is now..
People that have reached 250 just do it for the ribbon but people that keep on posting even if the got the MIR the do it because the like the forums in a kinda way.... at least I do.

so ya in the end people can't just go and spam the whole forums and get that ribbon with in 1 hour

it will take them 25 days!
and in those 25 days the get to know the forum better
and spamming the will not get to that since the only can post like 10 times a day
if are really stupid enough to spam 10 post in the same thread a mod can easily see that and ban him...

think about it this way it will be more controlled and it can't go out of hand like how it first was!

don't bring it back, make another ribbon to compensate for the ribbon that was taken away from the people who already had it in the first moment (people who alreay had more than 250 posts before the ribbon was launched)

How is that fair to people that wanna try and earn the ribbon?
    Your just selfish....dude srsly...

it was intended to prize the fellow forummers who already were contributing to the forums, but they can lower the post count needed to 100, so people who were active on the forums at least a little will receive it, but do not bring it back, people will spam the forums even with that high count needed, also, people with less than 250 posts would be pretty much prejudiced because of the post counting limitation.

Ya oke... but I think for those people should get different ribbon
But what kinda of ribbon and it's reason... I got no idea xD

and if people are prejudiced it's accept it or no ribbon for you :P
the wanna get that ribbon than the follow the rules!
It's really the only way to control it!
  • They should make something secret that only forumers with at least 250 posts or more can see things about posting or for special occasions like the ribbon.

Well, you could make a karma ribbon when this system is reimplemented (but only mods do see your karme) so you'll only have good karma people getting the ribbon .-.
    it's just, perfect :]

I have given up on the karma system but I guess it's a good idea if it ever comes back xD

    karma system:
mods will have a rate system on people, everytime they post, they can receive a karma +1, a karma -1, or a neutral karma a.k.a. no rating, but only mods can rate people's karma, so, it'll won't get farmed, and so on, a ribbon could be attached to this system, and would be pretty much harmless to the forums, and would only gain good people on the forums ^^
  • No even with those 10 posts, multiply it by thousands of Crossfire players. It will add up and become disaster once again.

^this too, it's kinda pointless, use something that only mods can give us .-.

Ya I was thinking about that to.
But I think it still can be done with the limit of post count

It's just we need to do a test to try it!

like for 1 or 2 weeks...we can try this!
if it still not working than to bad I guess...

i still think that the karma system is going to work better than the post limitation

    ;p
  • I'm excluding myself here, but those who should be compensated are the ones who had 1000+ posts when the ribbon was launched, as that was the original requirement.
  • yeah forum-ribbon failed hard. don't bring it back.
  • GOD, NO, Don't bring it back. Too much spammers will come back, but the idea of TakeThat is nice. Do you think that giving legit active not spamming forumers a ribbon is selfish and giving irritating spamming people for ribbon is nice?
