Help a new player with weapons and gameplay?

Hi, as I'm sure you can read the title, I just downloaded crossfire and I have a few questions that I would really appreciate any help with.

1. What are the best gun(s)/weapon(s) if any. Are all the guns balanced? Is there a certain gun class that is overpowered or underpowered? And if there is an over powered gun will you be called a noob and flamed in game every time you use it?

2. Does the black market provide overpowered guns/over powered advantages?

3. How would you think this game compares to other free FPS shooters like Combat Arms or Project: Blackout

4. Is there a unique gameplay mechanic or something special I should know about?

As I stated, sorry for the nub questions but its something that would really help me out. (:

1. Best: AWM, M4/AK. You will be called a noob and flamed if you use m12 or SL.
2. Yes. The guns are simply better than a majority of in game guns.
3. A lot better.
4. In-game badge system for kills in a certain weapon category. The rest is just standard FPS qualities.

1: There are a few best weapons but they are considered overpowered, such as M12s, an SMG that is the most OP weapon in CF, not only that it's GP making things even worse as generally BR's always go for OP weapons. AWM is also the best sniper in the game (along with DSR-1) but it is not OP. It will kill someone with one bullet as long as you don't shoot their legs, but the AWM is also the heaviest sniper in the game.

OP weapons usually consist of SMG's such as Kriss, M12s, and Thompson, but there is also an OP rifle and that is the Scar Light. You wouldn't get called a noob if you used Kriss or Thompson (I used Thompson many times and I've never been called a noob) but for M12s, you'll definitely be called a noob and maybe Scar Light.

2: Yes, the Black Market provides advanced guns that have extra ammo compared to the guns in the GP shop. Take for example a Desert Eagle-Camo from the GP crates. It is not only the strongest pistol, it also comes with 9 bullets per magazine + it reloads the fastest out of all pistols in the game. It trumps the normal Desert Eagle (from GP shop) in every way.

3: Compared to other FPS games, they don't compare to CF. While the graphics aren't that good compared to CA, CF is a fast-paced modern shooter game. CF has no explosives or turrets whatsoever, these things does not lend itself to it's fast-paced gameplay. CF requires more skill as guns and melee weapons are your key to success, not anything else.

4: There is the badge system you should know about, basically these are your achievements and there are different badges which unlock different rewards. There is a daily mission system which if you complete one of the three missions available each day, you'll earn a random dogtag (which if you collect all of them and form the words CROSS FIRE, you can exchange them for 5 Desert Eagle-Scope crates)and 500 GP.

This is basically all you need to know about CF, anyway enjoy your experiences on CF;)

1. Well, for me, I personally think that the AWM, Desert Eagle & K-2 are the best weapons in the game.
The Tar-21 & M12s is very overpowered, so you might get flamed for the Tar-21 but you will definitely, and I mean definitely, get flamed in every single match, if you use an M12s.

2. M4A1-Custom is overpowered, but it's considered a treasured weapon that Crossfire player's all over the world, would love to own.

3. It's won the ''Best FPS Game'' award 2 years running.
It's better, and with more and more players joining each day, you'll have a blast.

4. The badge system. In this system, you will be allowed access to badges if you play Crossfire.
You will get rewards and what not.
The Daily Mission - This idea is for players to get more exp and play in that map.
It's like in Black ops, the daily specialties.
You will get 500 gp per mission passed, and every 5, 10, 15, 20 mission passed, you will get weapons and exp as your rewards.

Wow, thanks for all the great responses so far, I really appreciate it.

My only questions are-

A. Do you need to complete all 3 daily missions for a dog tag or do I only need to complete 1?

B. Is there a beginner gun I should consider getting such as the AK-47 or M4? (I see those guns a lot)
I just reached Private so I have 45k to spend. (I would prefer to not get the AK though since I swear I get that gun in every FPS shooter and I want a change) xD
But if it is the best dominant beginner gun I will get it until I level up and can afford other cool things.

C. What guns are banned in clan wars/competitive play if any and what are the best/most used guns for competitive play?

1. get the m4a1 if u dont wanna wait, if u are engough lvl get the qbz95 and if rily high lvl get scarlight.
2.black market provides good guns but u dont need them like the awm is good and scar is good.
3. this is better wayy better better modes better comunity and just look at other versions of cf soo much players.

A: You only need to complete one to finish a daily mission.

B: The best place to test out guns is Crossroad or Alaska as these are the stages that have guns on the floor and you can use them. It is best to save up for a gun that you want if it turns out to be a high-rank restricted gun such as AK-47. But if you want the ideal gun for beginners is the M4A1

C: As for competitive play I don't know.

1. Guns in this game are overall very balanced with the exception of a few.
M12s,
Scar Light,
Thompson.. low recoil, high damage guns!

2. BM makes your guns slightly better, the only real boost would be the +5 ammo boost. not too OP

I suggest the combo of M4A1+Desert Eagle or AK-47+Desert Eagle IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BUY ZP. M4A1 and AK47 is debatable the best guns in this game. AK-47 has hard core recoil, but awesome if you can control it, M4A1 has decent recoil and its good if you can aim for heads. So M4A1 if you're not experienced in FPS games, AK if you can control recoil.

Best pistol in the game is either Desert Eagle or Anaconda. Maybe P228/USP if you like those kind of guns. (not 1 shot ko in the head at all ranges)

If you're going to buy ZP, M4-Silver/AK-Silver+Deagle should be good if you can't win any crate guns.

Get the M4, i would say get the AK but its your choice. AK is very different in this game, you can feel the recoil and you have to learn to control the spray pattern, very different compared to other games.

Uhm.

I'd say get the m4 to start, and the next gun you should get is desert eagle. And, if you don't buy zp, i'd suggest you spend ur last bonus on awm, which is a good sniper. That will give you a good start into the game. If you would like to, you could spend zp, and exchange them into gp, and buy more guns like sl, qbz, xm8, etc. However, you will have your fun with ur awm and m4 even without the other guns. There is no classes in cf, its not like it is in cod, and the guns that are considered "overpowered" are scar light, m12s. They are considered noob guns. However, they are easy to use for beginners, which is why they are called "noob" guns. And, yes, you will be flamed ingame 90% of the time, especially when you are pwning with it, if you use scar light/m12s in game. But it is a good gun anyways. I don't suggest you buy any other guns other than m4/ak74 when you are into the game, and only buy the guns that are required staff sergeant class 4 to buy. Those ones are the good ones, and the guns at sergeant aren't as good as them.

Yes, they do. They provide the best guns in the game.

B. Well, to be honest, it's all up to your own preference. Ak-47 is without a doubt, the most dominant rifle in the game if it's used properly. I don't think you can get the AK in the private class, I believe it's somewhere in the Sargent class...(someone should correct me if I'm wrong lol)

C. In terms of clan wars, there are no weapon restrictions unless both clans agree to abide by WOGL rules. The list of weapons that you can use when you play competitively can be found in the website.
