  • make 1kb crossfire.exe filepatch ... no need for x-trap anymore. coders will get annoyed to search codeline every week to create new injektions dll for next 3 - 4 days. x-trap react to slow after last patch 4 days gone till new haks were online. 2 weeks and hak issue raised like before patch. make also 4 different cf.exe files. wich u can randomly update every week.

    what coders do ?
    they easiest way is to catch awm code. wich have nor recoil and 100% damage so i can implement it for others guns ... so old hak alive. harder way is to catch headshot box and glitch one ... wich is actuall now. there are every kind of hak online now, wallwalk, oneshooter, aimer, wallbangers and and and.

    i know that x-trap makes it good. but they react to slow. they need injectors to see where the code is implement so they can block it. weeks will gone till x-trap have solution for probably 1 of plenty injectors.
    but who says that x-trap can't be bypassed by regedit?

    In my opinion, the patcher side normally have no hope. Hacking just need find a way to have hack works and it is easy because the player coordinate has to be transmitted between clients and servers. To capture them and use it for hack is not hard, but to block them from being used by hacking is hard. They have to have the game work before block a hacking.

    I can roughly classify the anti-hack into 3 level.

    1. Prevent hacking program from running, they found where the hacking is injected and how it works, and block it --- it will always be a step slower than hack, hack will appear first, then you know how they works.

    2. Detection hacking and kick, this might be what z8game named as autoban system. I don't know if they put on server side or client side. But as we know the server lag previous I guess they might have put it on sever side sometimes because it might use some resources. However, the idea is easier, you kill someone with 1 pistol shot -- can be detected, you run through the wall -- can be detected, you drop down the map -- can be detected, so based on the fact, just ban the player, and no one cares how did they do that. there are might hundreds of ways to implement same hack, but the total type of hacks are quite limited and no need to study the code.

    3. Community based, voting system and reporting system. There is always something is hard to detect automatically, say waller and auto aiming, it is hard to set a threshold between legit and hack. So the human is used, but this is slow, time consuming and easy to make wrong decision. However, it is the most intelligent way.

    My suggestion mainly falls into type 2 and 3. Button for respawn, as I think, is the easiest at current stage, and is the only effective weapon when xtrap and autoban failed to do the job, while the opponents would not play fair.
  • Another new idea:

    Someone said the player should be grouped by ping. Let's group the player by their best record too.

    Those who have 1000:3 in hero mode should play with 500:13 in the same room, otherwise, they are too good for others. They can only apply to enter a normal level room by voting (we can count the refuse vote as deny).

    This will be much fun and fair. And I guess there would be less complain. Because someone would be that pro will have to play with someone same pro as they are.
  • well respawn button abuse or destroy game environment no need for it. when u play s.d and to save ur k/d just respawn button? lol. another point when the real hak fix are done so respawn button is just trash button? ... to ur other suggestion well there should be also another capture system wich analyze everything from everyone and get those nubz banned. well it will solve problem too but it's very expensive idea. to programm it will takes a lot of time.

    my suggestion was simple no need much knowledge about programming. x-trap can exist and make additional job to weekly patches.

    P.S ping restrikted servers was suggested many times. what to do about ping spikes. no need for it. just watch diskussions with "search" button.

    Respawn button is mainly useful in TDM; in SnD, each round you can only die once.
    Talking about abuse, anything can be abused --- have you ever being harassed by whispering?
    And more likely, the respawn button will not affect the game play, player also get time to answer a phone. Now you remember that we press b to change weapon, with respawn button that would be clear you will respawn with a set of weapon.

    To keep the kdr by not playing when there is no hacker is very noobish. You should not think of that ---- if you care that much, there is no game you can play. I guess even you can suggest someone to do that, no one will follow you. Even in a room with hackers, there are still lots of brave heart rushing out the base to provide hacker fun.

    As I said, most of time the x-trap has to be slower than hack because they are trying to fix and prevent it. Weekly maintance, as Zopadic said, might not be enough even in a weekly bases; Last night's maintance might give us 2 days hacker free, but how about the other 4-5 days?

    The detection system should be useful because the start point of it can be applied in game in different stages. Currently, because it works on replay and map file, currently z8 replay review team can use it to scan the submitted replay, they only need to review the file that can not confirmed by the software. This will make their life easier and our community happier to see the hacker they reported being banned on time. The next stage is to deploy it with game client, so that the improper vote kick, improper reports will efficiently be filtered out.

    About ping spike, yes, that is a problem, but do a statistics for 3 seconds before game starts will solve it, if your current network status is very instable, there is no need for you to enter the game.

    Also, you should notice I reject the ping capped server to block br or gr or the players from any nation. My opinion is, when there is no one using NA server, why can not let other players to play on it. Once NA players (have less ping) need to play, my solution will make them easier to enter a room than huge ping player.
