The Beep Test
*NOTE* I meant to make this thread 2 weeks ago back when the forum ribbo ncame out, by the time I hit "Submit Thread", the forusm were down ._.
So I copied and pasted everything into a txt file and forgot about it ever since. So here we go.
These past few weeks of the new semester, for my gym class, we were doing weight training and thsi last week we had a fitness test.
And on yesterday, the final part of the fitness test was a thing called "The Beep Test". Which was when you had to run 30 yards before the beep, and you had to run back and forth until everybody fails.
So, there are 20 levels, and 10 runs within each level, and there are no breaks between levels.
So everybody stands against the wall, you run to the wall across from you. If yo udon't get there before the next beep for you to run back to the other wall, its considered a fail, but if you con't make it back to the other wall before it beeps again, then you're out. But if you fail, make, then fail again, you're still in, you just can't fail twice in a row. So it's liek a game of British Bulldog but there is only so much time for you to get to the other wall and you don't get tackled.
And I didn't know that we were having this beep test right after the squat test, so I was pretending to sit on air for 215 seconds, then i'm the 3rd last person and somebody says "Oh sh*t we got the beep test next", so I stand up and my thighs are killing me.
I'm a good long distance runner with good stamina, and I start doing the beep test with sore thigh
And It's reaching the 5th level. And I'm still going, my thighs are killing me, and my throat is realyl dry. Most people get out in levels 5-7. I haven't failed yet but my throat and thighs are really othering me. So at level 5.4 I drop out to go get water and sit down.
Anybody else have this test in their school? If so, what level did you make it to?
Oh btw, the highest level before everybody was out was level 14.7
But they were cross-country runners, so I was expecting it.

i have no stamina so i get up to the 5-6 ground, i dont put too much efort into it either though. i do remember seing peoplepulling the 20 though.
we also had the 30 minute run, where the goal is to simply do the most laps posible in 30 mins. bigest chalenge here being you need to find your proper speed, i remember 1 girl actualy passed out during that test. -
