Removing Kill Badges

I already have the Kill Mark Upgrade files modded so that the wings are transparent, but I'd like to remove those little badges that pop up when you get a kill with a certain kind of gun (e.g. the Sniper badge pops up when you get a sniper kill). Anyone have files to remove them? It is to my understanding that simply deleting those files leaves white squares behind where they would normally be.
