You really can't classify it. Assault Rifles tend to fire faster, such as the AK-47 and the M4A1. Sub Machine Guns generally fire even faster than Assault Rifles, and shot guns generally fire more than one bullet per shot. The Winchester doesn't fall in any of those. Definitely, it is not a Sniper, due to the fact that it is just down right terrible long ranged.

There is not category for Rifles [Assault Rifles do not equal Rifles]. So I would just classify it as a gun. It's a very old gun [dated way back when] and reminds me of a BB gun. I'd just call it a Classic Weapon [it was introduced in 1904, almost 110 years ago].
