Question for newly made Moderators

Just curious, how did you become a moderator?
-Were you asked by a GM, Mod, etc?
-Did you send an application?
Etc..Etc..

Not asking for a million replies, just one single reply will do.

The will do both. They will ask someone to become a mod or they will have applications sent in.

Not all mods were chosen from an app that they sent in. Some where asked out of the blue.
  • If we do an application process it will be made public at certain times. There is no need to flood GM (or mod) accounts with applications to be a moderator.

At this time the mod positions are full. While we recognize there are plenty of people who could be a part of the Mod Squad, there is only room for so many.

Currently moderators are approached by us based on their contributions to the community and game. If they fit the part then they can be approached about the position.

Being a part of the community and helping the game grow does not mean having 7,000 posts. We see the regulars on the forums and in the game and if we want them to be a moderator we approach them. Otherwise we will hold a public application process where people can apply to be in the position.
  • They just look for random people who is fit to become a MOD for supporting the CF community and being a part of it for so long, basically.

Adding to this, they generally send a forum private message. Generally out of a GM account. It's usually never out of a random account, so don't be to surprised if you get a private message from an account named "PrivateCFGM", it's most likely not real. They will have a [GM] or a [MOD], or a tag of some importance behind their name such as [GM]Saidin or [MOD]Bruce.
