There must be a better reason

crystal is rather a rare color you have in game compared to silver. since it has less ammos and need more coupons, this becomes the only reasonable explanation.

Probably for the looks, because it's more recent and because they want to make it rarer. Certainly not because it's a better gun. By the time you get 80 coupons, you have more than enough BP to buy the M4A1-Silver which seems a better weapon than the Crystal.

No really, the only thing the M4A1-S Crystal has for him seems to be the Crystal skin.
