The Obvious Hacker Banning Brigade (OHBB)
*Note: not another pointless QQ thread.
While some people who use hacks in Crossfire are subtle about it, most cheaters are blatantly obvious about it. People that can walk through walls aren't fooling anyone. One hit killing is not hard at all to spot, especially in modes like Hero Mode. While it is often hard to know the difference between a chammer and someone who can pinpoint in GM, 70% or more of hackers can be identified almost instantly, and one hit kill suspicions can be confirmed after 2-3 bodyshot kills from 100 HP. So here is my idea:
A small group of 5-10 mini-mods, consisting of reputable people from the CF community (Very well known forumers, WOGL players, maybe even a regular mod or two) that could just take down names of any blatant hacker they see in game. Any person caught hacking would receive a temporary ban, maybe 3 days or so, and if caught hacking by another mini-mod would receive a permanent account ban. (This would ensure that no one could abuse their power and perma-ban someone that they just didn't like, although there should be enough reputable people that this wouldn't be much of a problem)
If anyone in this group was found abusing their ban-hammer, an appropriate action would be taken against them by a mod, and they would lose their place in the group. This would be a lot more effective than only using replays to identify hackers: replays often make identifying actual hackers from the countless hackusations difficult, but an experienced player actually seeing someone hack in-game is very easy to spot. If each person in the group took action against 2-3 people a day, that's an average of 60 less hackers playing each day, with perma-bans on repeat offenders.
What are your guys thoughts on this?
TL;DR- Have some reputable people scout for hackers instead of only relying on replays.
Please note: I am not suggesting that anyone should grant me the power to ban people, lul. If reputable forumers got this ability, I definitely wouldn't be the first person to come to mind.

...I would ban anyone that kills/kicks me.
Give mods in game powers. Nuff said. If they abuse it, take away their privileges. Get more people that you trust...like a lot...with your life :O
A small # of mods wouldn't do much but at least it helps. Scare those hackers by permanently banning them because obviously they dont care. -

you rapists! ;-;
Racists!
Racings!
or something with R e.e"
well, make a poll "wich people would you elect a mini-GM in-game?"
"opitions"
"opitions"
"opitions"
"opitions"
the X first ones will be mini-GM's until, like, a month, or so, so there will be an new voting (the person can be reelected twice in a row, but will have to wait until the next voting if they were already elected twice) -

Mod's dont even have ingame powers so why will a group of "reputable players" get it?
If these guys were reputable then they would be Moderators
-Its super effective

And he is awesome -
in response to this thread there are lots of easy ways to tell a hacker from a true expert
heres 1 a ak-47 cannot long range people consistently its accuracy calls for short range brawls not sniping the kill counts and death counts should be a sign too 100/0 kills/deaths yeah right unless its mm mode sometimes expert mutants can get that high but usually most of the time it should be something like this 100/80 usually the death count is almost as high as the kill count personally id love to report alot of people but im too lazy to wait for that sorta stuff anyways i agree with this thread there needs to be some kind of moderator group thats able to ban hackers on the spot whats worse is when players know someone hacking and supports them by not vote kicking them -

lets get back on topic..
like smily said just give MODS in game powers to automatically boot people that are hacking or glitching. If they kick people they just dont like, then that = abusing power which = no more mod.
Sidenote: i wouldnt trust l0lsmilyface with my pet goldfish rather my life... -

Sorry for the late response, I was out of the house.
But what I meant is not anything for in game powers, or even anything that would require coding. It would go like this:
1. Mod's and maybe other people that were deemed trustworthy would write down IGN's of hackers.
2. In a PM, send the names to a Mod or GM that can ban people.
3. These people would be banned without the need to watch replays, because the reports are coming from people that aren't 10 year old kids crying "HAAAAX!!1!1" whenever they get killed.
4. ???
5. Profit.
