How to solve the kick problem.

  • oh god yes, ive played this one round from the beginning of game from round 1 to the last round where both teams at 12 rounds won, and last round, i get kicked...they say "okay everybody lets kick him now" -_- **** me off to no wonders with that
  • i suggested this a while ago, its a really good idea.there are some holes though cause a lot of people will constantly be leaving and joining rooms.
  • zelar

because they kill and **** a lot and kick and kick if not kill <..>
  • this would be awesome already have seen this on another post
  • I suggested this like 60000000 times but they dont listen to us :l

    Lol yea that happens sometimes
  • Why even bother? You know they have no saying in this. Everything comes from the developers. We keep suggesting, but nothing happens. Best thing would be to get rid of hackers, not bend the game to accomodate them. Even fair players get kicked because of this, what can we do. We need INGAME GM's to kick and ban the hackers. Im seriously tired of suggesting other stuff.

    already suggested.
    still +9999999999999.
i don't care about being kicked, but sometimes you play around 30min
and get kicked on the last round while you are defusing the bomb -,-.

Exactly! I don't mind getting kicke early in the game (I don't hack btw) but it ticks me off when it's a 13 round s&d and I've played dice round 1 and it's 12-12 ad I get kicked... Losing 400 - 600 exp makes me mad
  • I think this would be a great Idea. But we think with our brains we are not mods. We are not the people that control the game and just care where the money comes from.
  • i play 3 games of gm and get kicked 2 -.-
stoped play gm beouse they dont stop kick me

so if i leave a game...in game..my kills and deaths still are recorded? but if you rejoin, the gold and xp are only dependant on what i kill after that correct? not before i quit out?

    Yes, I believe that's correct.
When there was that stupid room crash bug, when someone would leave during a vote, you would still kept your K/D.
I've left games when they were kicking me and still kept my K/D ;)

Yes, this would be a great idea if and ONLY IF they have a better hacking prevention system. I'm sure no one can really deny the recent outbreak of hack and how bad the situation really is, not just for pubs but also cw. If you couple that with the implementation of that idea, it would just lead hackers to think "Oh hey, I still get exp and gold even if I get kicked. That means it doesn't really matter if I get kicked of not!" That would pretty much put us in a bigger hole than the one we're already in.

Some people suggested to remove the votekick, which of course gives a bigger problem:
you can not kick hackers, look at FFA, HM and MM for example.

So I came up with an idea; Let us keep the stats, exp and gp after getting kicked.
The people who are kicked would be less frustrated, specially the ones who are kicked
unfairly, like the one who were kicked for hacking if they weren't hacking. Alot people made threads about getting kicked so often and some of them even quit CrossFire because they were kicked so much.

Some people might think "But the real hackers would keep there stats, thats so unfair." But why bother keeping them there stats because they will lose it anyway if they get banned.

Answer on a question in advance.
Why don't you post this thread in suggestion forum?
Because none of the mods will ever look at the suggestion thread. I made already a thread about this suggestion, but none of the mods made a response on that thread, which was disappointed. So I thought if I put this suggestion in barracks, it will be more likely a mod will respond.

A good idea, hope to see more support for this. It would at least make those who were kicked unfairly feel better.

On another note, I think that it is very good that in FFA there isn´t an option to vote kick. This is the main reason why I play FFA: it gives me a chance to actually FINISH a match.

Do you really think the hackers care about the exp and gp? I don't think so. They only care about ruining the game for everyone and they are enjoying it. All of their xp and gp would become useless if they got banned.
  • This idea would be better than nothing. I only see hackers get kicked maybe 5% of the time. Over the weekend I would say that got increased to 13% due to a few hackers actually getting kicked. I wouldnt mind if it was gone all together because it isnt doing what it was meant to do.

Another solution might be to just stop all in-game chat. Think about it. That's why most of the kick votes get started.

There's always some persistant little QQ noob bleating about how you owned them and that's impossible cause they are an invincible(sic) ghost with a perfect bhop, breath off(sic), spop, armour and shovel. There is no way you could kill them! With a headshot!! You must hac.k cause only hac.k can kill me blah blah blah etc etc

If you get suspicious of someone, you can just follow them and judge for yourself. Or of course there's always the blatant and outrageous hac.ks like instant defuse. Either way, if you've played this game for long enough, you generally know if someone is legit or not.

I only play GM Lab, and I generally stay in B site. So today, I'm guarding/camping and kill a ghost using PP. Oops, he had the bomb. 4 more dead ghosts later and I'm hackused. A couple of them even ran at me!
The biggest whiner was a .Nooooob. 2nd LT. He must have got such a good, warm feeling from the kick vote going through when I was 7 - 1 (after 3 rounds) and he could then breath easy that the hac.ker who was owning him was gone ;)
I went 15-2 and got Ace in the next game and no-one said a word!!
It is annoying that you get nothing for the time and effort you put into a game.

So in closing, get rid of in-game chat and leave it to each team to decide if there is a cheater instead of being pressured by some whiny QQ noobs (including high rankers) who suddenly find out that they arent as good as they thought :D

My opinion on that: Unless there is a block-chat-all option, I will continue to block chat on an individual basis in most GM rooms I go to...
Furthermore, rather than integrating the community, no matter how f* up'd it is, I don't think this "suggestion" would recognize this goal.

There seems be always a noob player at your team who thinks killing ghosts if they are not visible is hacking. He is not aware that GR can pinpoint the ghosts and he will probably kick you. So it does not really matter if they would remove the chat. If you are tired of the whining, just block those whiners.
i love seeing that sarge asking me desperatly for my "chams" and my response telling him to buy some headphones...
but when BL is QQing, well block chat is the way to go

I do block noob chat occasionally, depends what they are saying ...... then you miss them screaming F11 he hac.k and you get that lovely screen telling you you are kicked. LOL. I give up. If you get kicked and you are not a hac.ker it just means you are good...right?
I don't block noob chat, I could also block realtime QQing chat (OMG:o)
and getting kicked is looked at different ways, from being called a hacker to some nub wanting ace that he won't get, to the kid who's clannie on the other side kept moaning and groaning that the kid is too pro

Way too drastic, in game chat can be good some times
Give exp, gp and k/d to the kicked person is better

after all that I talked about above, i'm still rooting for this "suggestion"

MODs dont control the game nor do they have in game controls.
