Facebook VS Twitter. Clash of social network?

It has been more than 2 years till I started using Facebook.
I really don't know If I can even last a single month without it.
Facebook has connected me to old friends of mine and also helped me find new ones.
But seriously, I think Twitter caught my eye.
Some of my closest friends tell me to keep using Facebook, others tell me to use Twitter while some say that using the both of them Is what I need?

So what social network is better?
Does any of it have advantages and disadvantages against other?
Which network do you use?
What do you recommend me?

FB is collecting info. The only thing someone needs to get your identity info, is money. They'll sell it. Not that Twitter isn't the same though ... Solution: Not using either.

i would say use none, but we all want to be talk to our friends, i use FB but just cuz all my friends use it too >.> and its a good way to contact old friends

many many people will regret ever placing their virtual feet on to that website.

Both are very different social networks so it's hard to compare.
But in user friendliness, popularity and functionality, Facebook would win hands down.

I don't like Twitter... well I have one but.. most of people there only try to fake a super happy life with smart ass sentences all the time, which is annoying, mostly because you know it's all fake.
