Try these steps to fixing the issue:
1. Reinstall crossfire (uninstall or remove existing folders and reinstall the game)
2. Check your processes to see if you have any programs that may be preventing Xtrap from running.
3. Check your firewall/router settings to make sure xtrap isn't being blocked.

If none of these work, send in a support ticket via the web form.

Yeah, I would try deleting the game first and then defraging and then reinstall
