Ribbon change
So first you make a ribbon based on post count. Everyone wants it, so they try to get the posts as soon as they can = spam attack. You can't control the "unforseen" (although I wouldn't know how this could not have been forseen)
Now you make a ribbon based on kill count...what is the fastest way of getting 100k kills? You might as well have called the announcement thread "Farm for your m4a1-C-Crystal!"

that is exactly what i was thinking....half of Crossfire already has that ribbon (BRs) -

Not to mention even with farming it will still take awhile to achieve 100k kills. While some might have the time and patience to achieve that, most wouldn't.. at least in the farming sense. -

Its a ribbon, not the attempt to get the M4-CC. Even if you try and farm 100k kills its not going to happen in a week. Farming 100k will take time, this is just for now, maybe z8 will lower the count. Stop worrying so much, its only a gun -.- -

That could be said about the former Military Intelligence ribbon as well. But then again, they were literally spamming "I want M4C-Crystal" (give or take a few spelling errors)

if your going to try and pretend you're smart, atleast make a effort to try and read what he's saying -
I don't think a riffle like c crystal should be put as a prise becouse sooner or later all players will get it, and custom will no longer be a special gun, it will be like m16. rpk camo would be better or micro gail scope or dual uzzi. But i can't care less if players farm, spam or anything else, the think is a lot of them will use aibot and 1shot kill to get 100k kills but it is ok since z8 always protect hakers and bann fair players.

Because it is clear enough if you read the first post. Everyone else understood me apparently.
It's not about either of those, it's just that Z8 should think a bit about their ribbons before releasing them. There might be good intentions behind them, but as the MI ribbon has shown, good intentions don't work when you're dealing with people that can only think in a straight line...
The MI was meant to bring more activity to the forum; it only brought spam. Everyone (apart from z8 then) saw that coming from miles away.
Next ribbon: get 100k kills. Intention: get people to play CF more/longer (think along the lines of 5k hs/5k games played). What will happen: farmville will no longer be a facebook game...
I highly doubt that z8 wants everyone to start farming (just like they didn't want all the spam), so they should have thought a bit more before creating this ribbon. I know this one was most likely just made to keep people quiet about the removal of the MI ribbon, but yea...there were better options (in-game time e.g.). -
The problem is that a lot of things can be "farmed" people farmed for the badges,people can farm to get the 100k and to get "clutcher killer" ribbon.
If they stop do things because farmers the people who don't farm will get punished
for something that they dont did.
Agree with the "in-game time" ribbon but i dont think this have to exclude "An Army of One" ribbon. -
Yeah i'd have 18 ribbons by now
If they'll replace a ribbon, replace for something similar
I reseted my kdr for Clutch Killer and now i have only 10k of kills
now i have 17 ribbons i'll have 18 soon cos of Veteran Soldier
But i'm gonna have to buy some more weapz for getting 25 weaps and another random ribbon
It's unfair they should have let the people who alredy had the inteligency ribbon with them and just stop the prize
There wasnt any reason for taking out from people who alredy have it -

I'm aware of the long history farming has in this game. I also know z8s stance against farming "It's not illegal, we won't punish farmers". But just letting them farm or actually motivating them the farm are two different things.

Yes, badges were a reason for farming as well, but clutch killer is more of "go buy some ZP for a k/d reset".
You could say the same thing about stopping for the MI ribbon.... -
