Why punish regular forumers?

Removing the ribbon won't change anything.. No offense if this applies to you but a big part of this games community are kids(under 18). That being said, there will still be an annoying amount of spam, if not more because they have something new to complain about now.

I agree with your statement that once they got the ribbon the spam would reduce.. But at the same time, beings as how a large percentage of the community is immature, the spamming will never fully stop. -
just remove the ribbon from accounts that had less than e.g 100 posts before that ribbon requirement was announced.
How is it punishing you?
Before this weekend there was never an indication a ribbon was going to be awarded for post counts.
Then the forums were turned in to a place that the regular forum user couldn't cope with. And to be frank, it lowered the quality of the forums. Removing the ribbon was the right thing to do. You didn't actually DO anything for the ribbon in the first place other than be a part of the community.
Being a part of this community hasn't been taken away from you. -
"it" didn't mess up people did. They are responsable of their acts and consequences.
I'm not worried about the real forumers because I think they'll make some other ribbons for us.
@to0l: wouldn't that be awkward even though they should've made it a ribbon for those who had 1000posts before the patch.
@L0L: 100 000 kills seems ok to me. Even more people will have that one compared to the 1000posts.
First of all, You are probably fine as you have more than 100k Kills.
Clearly you have no idea to those who actually participated to get the 250 posts from scratch, NOT SPAM. but actually discussion have wasted their time.
Also to those who planned on resetting K/D to get their last ribbons or another ribbon are currently boned.
Please Next time before posting Think of the Other people who might have different situation Than you.

Hopefully the future ribbon will be more selective. Maybe even handed by the staff one person at a time depending on what he does in/for the community.
Besides, except for the people that were one ribbon away from the M4A1-CC, there's no reason to get upset about it.
It's more than likely that true regular forumers will have it back in the end. -

Resetting KD is a choice as another and everybody knows that our choices lead to consequences. A ribbon related to kills or even deaths was most likely to come out since when having introduced the ribbon system they said there would be hundreds of them.
Maybe people should actually think before doing things.
Once again the ribbon isn't directed to those who have chosen to get rid of those kills and deaths just to get higher KD. KD means nothing and they should know that. If it was to get the 2.0KDr ribbon then they have won a ribbon anyway and are probably happy with it.

Ok so now we go from losing a ribbon to bustin our butts or farming our butts to get the same # of ribbons back...
Granted KDR doesn't mean anything and I haven't resetted my KD but it seems a bit unfair for them to have released the 100k ribbon AFTER the 2.0 KDR ribbon.. After all.. Resetting KD costs zp so pretty much, z8games got profit for "false advertising" so-to-speak. -

Hmmm, I re-set my kd a while back but I obviously have like 200,000+ kills minimum. I mean.... i got 135,000 headshots. So.... can I get my ribbon for all those headshot or do I have to wait untill I have 100,000 total kills again?
Oh, and also if you had to get over 100,000 kills to receive the ribbon it might turn people off buying kd re-sets [wink wink nudge nudge] -

Exactly.. z8games took ur zp (wether from surveys or from your own paying account) just to find out that a week later, there'd be a ribbon that's needed to have 100k kills. Personally, me and a handful of people would take the 100k kills ribbon over the 2.0 ribbon about anytime.. I've been playing for over a year on this account and havent exceeded the 100k kill mark.. But now since it's a ribbon, and since z8games screwed the legits.. I don't see a reason to keep playing according the saidins laws... Not saying that I will cheat.. But not saying I will follow the rules as closely as I have done in the past.. -

You need to get 100,000 kills again.
IMHO, this number is way to high, if I didn't re-setted my KD I'm pretty sure I would have 100,000 kills by now >.> -
I think this is how they should re-make the militarily intelligence. Anyone who has over 100 posts right now should get it. Because That means that Everyone who is part of the community posted to be part of the community. Not for some gun. Even the first wave of spammers would get it, they would be happy. Original forumer's would be happy. Win win. Only people who would lose are the people that didn't contribute to the forum strictly because they wanted to be part of the community, and lets face it. They don't deserve it if they were posting for some ribbon.
Yes, it would be un-obtainable to anyone who got over 100 posts after the ribbon announcement but there are other un-obtainable ribbons. Like Sniper week. Or maybe it can add anyone who has over 100 posts once a year, considering if there were to be more sniper weeks with it's following badge once a year. -
i understand the frustration of some of you. even though its beyond me why anyone would
a. reset his kdr and
b. pay for that
if i can´t keep my kdr at 2.0 for a certain amount of time, then that ribbon is not for me. same with other ribbons like the SPOP. i bought that character when it first came out. now i wouldn´t even bother buying it, even if it meant i am not getting that ribbon.
