Lagging.

Hi,
Well I've been lagging quite alot lately and I don't see the reason why. My ping in the servers I play in is 30- and my FPS is around 10-60 sometimes(Depending on how many people are in the room) and I just get a major lag out. Could it be:

Wireless - But never had lag probs before
My computer - It's Rubbish
My FPS?

Help would be appreciated.

Try forwarding the ports for CF and see if that changes anything, if not its probably an ISP issue.

I have 30KZP. Like I said I blown my money on my mum, and yet she has bills to pay so I don't get my £10 a week. Even tried looking for a job a newspaper boy. Haven't forgotten.

it may be many things, including ISP, PC or maybe game server problems. get a friend good in computers to come and forward some ports for crossfire and see what changes.

You use wireless? I have that but if you connect a cable from your pc directly to the modem the game will run faster!

Cuz the cable gets more info to your computer then the wireless...

think the wireless was 24 mb.... the cable its around 100 mb... its a significant diference

Yes I have a friend who can maybe sort some things out. I do have wired, but my computer doesn't detect it's being run on wired and doesn't connect. It was alot fast on wired I must agree.

You should be able to get a new processor to boost your FPS greatly. I recommend a Quad-Core processor, especially an Intel branded processor, it runs games such as Black Ops and BFBC2 on Computer greatly, mind that on CrossFire it will run good FPS!

Uninstall Pando Media Booster. It is a peer-to-peer software, which is a similar way of what Torrents do to your computer. Eats your bandwidth, causing you to lag and spike most of the time because of connection to Pando Networks.

Use BT Broadband, local connection, get a desktop computer.

Nicely explained. I don't know much about computers in that area(Only Website Development) but I'm getting a new computer(gaming) - https://www.arbico.co.uk/product.php?pid=100029 - I'm 10MB with Virgin media(Soon to be 20MB when some bills or knocked off).
