Hackers just don't care about the Bans.
One Hacker just told me, he did not care if he got banned. He said that he would just get
a new account, like always. Most all the hackers think this way.....I know it's sad.
It's just not the lower ranks who hack, I have seen; LT's, CPT's, MAJ's, & LTC's hacking.
We need a I.P. Ban, not a one week ban.
One Moderator told me, the issue is being dealt with and please be patient.
That was two years ago, and I am out of patients.

The problem either way is, whether you get just account banned or IP ban, hackers are hackers, there will be a way around it. The best way to solve the siltation is to patch the hacks being used, by patching it server sided so they can no longer work EVER. -
It's more of the fact that they KNOW it's INSANELY easy to make a new account, and if they get banned, they can just wait 7 days, and play again. Pretty sure the higher rank ones (and the ones that invest a lot of money into an account) would be afraid of being perm banned. But of course, you still see them around even without their Honorable Soldier ribbon.
Honorable Soldier ribbon doesnt really mean that much, because look at DDoTt hes a Mod and he doesnt have the ribbon, I dont have the ribbon, and I know others that don't. Doesn't mean we're hackers. It states Bans, which can be hacks/harassment/etc -

IP bans are given. Theyre just ineffective.

You have to remember nothing happens as we want it to, life isn't perfect, even games you pay for on gaming consoles there's hackers, and what happens when those users get banned? They come back. At least Z8 is even giving bans.. they could just not care at all and not attempt to ban/patch anything. They're trying and let them continue.. I'd personally like to see you do something about it. Because one way or another they will be back. -

As far as I know a persons account is checked by status, not time. If they come back as banned then whats the point on banning on top of that. This is where the 2 systems clash. A person may be banned for 7 bans and have a report sent in... the 7 day will not turn into a perm since they are already banned. -

Harassment in-game. There is more than just hacking bans out there. Stop concluded that because someone doesn't have that ribbon they're a hacker. I don't have the ribbon, are you going to claim I'm a hacker? How about DDoTt? -

This is obviously a problem on both ends, but without sufficient information on how they are trying to handle the situation(Handle, not fix), I have no faith in it. -

You say they take a step forward, Z8 is taking a step forward and trying new ways to stop hackers, just like the recent autoban that came into effect. Theres a way to stop hackers. May not be permanent, it may last for days, but still, a few days without hackers is better than nothing. No matter what there will be hackers.. its just going to take time for Z8 to secure the whole situation, miracles don't happen over night. -

The auto-ban obviously has it's flaws. And look what it's doing for us. 7 day bans. Like it is in real life with criminals. There will always be hackers.. you have to learn to adapt around them like most people have.
Hacking is a major problem at the moment but its out of Z8's control when its XTrap that patch the hacks.
People are getting banned. For those that watched the interview with Saidin have an insight into what goes on. It may SEEM like people dont get banned when they actually do.
You get the odd report that is missed and that one hacker gets away with it THAT TIME. Insytead of waiting a certain amount of time like most do and shove it in everyones faces to discredit Z8Games by going "LOOK I REPORT THIS GUY 2914 MONTHS AGO AND HE STILL PLAYS"
Just simply resubmit until theyre banned. Takes 10-20 seconds of your time. -
Best way to just solve the issue is to not play Hero Mode, Why? I've been playing SND all day and only saw the odd hacker, I go into Hero Mode tonight and there were 3 hackers in one match. Like Giggletron said you have to adapt around them, and the only way to do that is to go where they aren't. And that would be by staying out of Hero Mode at this time.

And the auto ban system seems like something that could be worked on.
Giving metadata of when and how the person was banned. Keeping track of how many bans it's given to a certain player.
Those could be very useful tools, and simply saying "it doesn't work that way" isn't a great answer to something that could be fixed to work that way. -

In an ideal world everything would work.. but it doesnt. I cant say much about the processing of reports because i simply dont know.
Youre all just going to have to wait it out. This hack WILL be found and patched.. its most likely on some small foreign site noones heard of. -

It is a problem, I will agree, but we also have to realize so many reports get sent in, with hackers, and non hackers (people claiming they hack), with less number of staff to cover the flow, The Autoban system is a great idea, but rather than the couple days, they may as well change that to perma ban because if its in place to detect hacks, it should perma ban.. not 3hr-7 day ban. In all seriousness its a growing concern, getting worse by the day.. But we have to deal with it until its fully dealt with. We know it needs to be taken care of, its just when, and how fast it can be done. But they are working on it right now but thats better than not looking into it at all. -

Yea, punkbuster, because that fits the budget and it will be a snap to impliment.The problem is NOT HACKERS , the problem is X TRAP why z8 don t change this stupid anticheat with punkbuster , this is better than xtrap. ( sorry for my language)
