Here's a super cool idea!?

just an idea.. might be cool too.. (actually 2 ideas)

why doesn't crossfire do one of these things..

1. Ban all BR ips.. I mean.. the majority of them DO hack so it's not like I'm just throwing out random words. Also I am sure that they did this in Combat Arms (correct me pls?)

2. Make servers region specific.. in css people with high pings can't join certain rooms. It shouldn't be too hard to do that for ips. You guys already made UK servers and stuff why not make it so they can only go in certain areas?

Because honestly I don't see what the patch was for.. the same dudes are spamming their hack sites and stuff. If one thing doesn't work why not try another? No point trying the same thing. The hacks are back and they seem to invent new ones too. Don't know how new the rapid fire one is but that's pretty annoying too.

  • wow i smell a troll..but seriously dude. when you play an online fps game its gona be multi cultural so your going to have other ppl from diffrent countries. though i like that idea of having servers for specific regions linked to thier ips.... would make for less laggy games :)
  • Patches arn't only ment to reduce hackers. THey are also used to increase/change content. This patch achieved that purpose..

Can we also stop being racist..
  • Games are multi-cultural yes, but there are also games which ban countries like china and brazil (I'm sure there are others but I've only heard of 2) for many different reasons which could be copyright reasons, developer reasons, hacking reasons or something else I am not aware of.

    also..

    troll?
I'm not sure I understand why I'm being called a troll for simply saying something on forums? and are you for or against my topic.. because you call me a troll yet you support what I say? Am I trolling or are you?
  • not this BS again.... 3 or 4 threads a day about this nonsense is enough.

I'm sorry but where is the racism? Would you rather me say people who live in brazil? I'm saying that one reason for a patch is to get rid of the hackers. But what is the point if they are back in less than a week?

Make my thread the first for the day then. :)

    1. Its unfair to ban a specific group of people just because of what some are doing. We have no plans to do so EVER and people should learn that this version of crossfire is theirs just as much as it is ours. The 'majority' is a false statement until you can statistically prove 100% that the 'majority' do so. Also keep in mind WE ARE NOT CA.

    2. At this point in time, the new servers have been plenty enough, taking things one step at a time. If i recall CS also runs off player dedicated servers, which has its own issues. Different games have different additions.

The patch was to give you new content and modes to play with, focus on that. Its created for a reason. Hacks can never go away and nothing is hackproof. If it can be made, it can be unmade. The difference is cutting it off at the head which Xtrap does. Be patient and wait for such updates.
