FFA isn't where it's at, games like the Hero mode, Mission maps (Black Widow), and Egypt are extremely populated with hackers it's rediculous. Every game i play there's atleast a hacker that one shots.
every HM room has atleast 1 or 2 hackers, played a lot of GM games after the patch and believe before the patch you couldn't play as a ghost, now you can only saw 2 or 3 low rank hackers before i saw First lTs and and captains using hack(i think some stole their info...).

The auto ban is in effect I believe.. I was farming yesterday (Yes i was farming) and got that hack detected 5.0 bug, I go to log back on and it blocked me,, wasn't even hacking just got the bug and it blocked me for 3 hrs.. So I know for sure it has to be in effect. Why i was banned I dont know caz I wasnt even hacking -.-
I usually get this erro if my crossfire crash and i dont restart my computer.

Honestly, I see more hackers than before the auto-ban...
Normally, we'd have hacks going rampant a few days before a patch is released, but this is the complete opposite.

    Any idea why? :S

the auto-ban system didn't came on this last patch was implemented before.
  • Dedicated Servers

This is why we should have dedicated servers.

Autoban was mentioned in the previous patch updates, but doesn't look like it has been put into effect. As a matter a fact, hackers are running more rampant than BEFORE the patch. Is there going to be no action against these hackers?

They probably are still in proving it for non hackers don't get ban or maybe there adding new stuff too keep it going! like Glitch bans etc... like try to get in a box error=so manys days bans
  • I think the Autoban solve the problem with hacks ...
But if someone is losing a player account and use that account hack ...
The true owner would harmed by an action that did not commit.
But in principle, solve the Autoban!

The 'hack tool detected' is a common problem, but that's not what he's talking about. Hack tool detected just disconnects the player from the game, but allows the user to log back in.

The Auto-ban system was released on February 17th, which was the patch that ALSO needed another patch to fix up a few kinks from the patch released on the 17th. Don't get them mixed up. > >

    It's hard to tell.
I'd really like a compiled list of all the users that get banned over the span of one month. To fill in that empty void constantly consuming me telling me that nothing is being done with the hackers.
But as mentioned in the previous pages, the auto-ban bans users for a short period of time...
  • I still believe that there's a rat in your team, Saidin. Ever seen the movie, The Departed? You buy VIP Hacks while someone in your team is selling away the patch info. And it goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on. They'll always be one step ahead of you. -_-
  • well..

Well.. A lot of peoples are getting hacks, is because there's bunch of hack spammers in the Alpha lobbies.. They gotta do something about it.. Like shut down their web site or something.
  • XTrap can only stop what it knows about. New hacks are made daily... and especially every time a new patch comes out.
  • xtrap's bans need to be perm, not just 7 days

They eventually are perm, but pretty much de facto perm instantly due to how the system works.

No, the auto-ban system has been active for 6 months or so now.
You don't see it working because you don't cheat.
(And also because this game is getting bigger, meaning the cheater influx is proportionate if not bigger than the number of users banned)

Yeah it would. That won't happen though.
  • Dot while you here could you tell me why the ban list isnt going to happen anymore? iv heard its due to privacy but dont they loose those rights by hacking?

Many other online MMO does not have a public ban list because of privacy issues. Is that not correct? Crossfire then is following in those terms.

    Its a bit of everything.

Technical issues, privacy issues (although this one isn't a biggie), and social issues. Mainly technical because we won't waste time recoding the entire system just to add names to some list that isn't 100%, and social issues for the same reason.
While the automatic system is pretty much 100%, not all bans are issued through it, making the list incomplete at best and sometimes inaccurate. This poses the issue of potentially legit players getting stuck on some "hacker" list.

You all probably don't remember, but the only thing the ban list did was make kids post "HAHAH ROFL I KNOW THIS GUY AND HE CHEATS HES ON THE LIST" all over, which is sad, and we won't help those youngsters flame people.
  • Yeah well it happened to me "hack tool detected" and i think it's so noobish
  • Yeah well it happened to me "hack tool detected" and i think it's so noobish
Hack tool detected isn't in any way related to the automatic system.

Its basically just a bad translation, should be "Malicious software" or such.
Means you're running something you shouldn't or something thats interfering with Crossfire or XTrap.
    Not necessarily a cheat.
