Go rival fraction chose you side and apply clan

I joined GR Rival Factions side, but how come when I go back to the Choose your Side page I can still select which side I want to be on. I haven't clicked it, so I'm not sure if it is just there, or there's no option to switch sides. The prize for winning the war is just gp correct? Unless you are top 5 for your Rival faction side?
