Failed to download pacht file v5

It been 6 times i disintalle reinstalles crossfire and it always do that "failed to download pacht files 5v".Then i try to run the game again and it stop at the "HGW game watcher 93% .Then is close and nothing.The game wont start....

I try to put the compatibility window98....window 95...directx version resolution 1024x768 pixel...I tried everythink said on the forum... nothing happen.This game dont want to start.

Plz someone help me im begging you!

Same Error With Me, but cf appears for like 10 seconds then close.

for some of you guys try to put compatibility in windows 95
(right click exe icon and choose propriter then choose tab compatibility and then put windows 95.)

I'm having the same problem as well except I've downloaded and re-download it and it works fine until i try and patch the game and then it freezes on the part when its updating the file: Rez\RF019.rez or something like that.. It wont ever go past it in the patch and I've changed my all my settings to see if it would work so I'll keep messing with it and try and get it to work.

You have to try to add the exceptions in the firewall in Windows. Write or worked on the second computer so it worked

when I try start crossfire HGW finish loading and it won't open crossfire

This is the exact same thing that happens to me, but after about 9 tries, It works... But then I go to use my launcher, and that is half gone, can't even start up the game. Damn errors.... UGH!

problem solved

i solved mine

in fact i needed to upgrade graphics and reinstall windows there is a windows update that prevent cf to open.
i reinstalled windows without any update and now it works.
