There is no difference between different weapons and the times to get invisible. Maybe it's just a feeling you get because you feel invincible using an axe or shovel?

In a way a bigger weapon would make you have more visible outlines, but it shouldn't effect on how fast you become invisble. The weight of the weapon could affect how fast you stop thus making you invisible "faster" so maybe that's what you're talking about. Anyways learn how to bhop its the only way to play ghost.
