you don't use it because you're scared of what people will think when you present your taste of music into your work.
I'm not scared to incorporate my taste of music, I just have not used it. I probably will in the future.If he's willing to admit that he enjoys it, I have no doubt that he has no fear of incorperating it.
If you're going to try to profile him, then it would be a positive influence, such as that more people have used the current music, and so the thought was not as strong. A negative statement such as yours is pretty much prooved false by his current "admission."
