Maybe people should just stop hacking....
If only
I've actually ran into blatants in pay to play games, such as Rainbow Six Vegas 2, but the main difference is, the community there kicks most any hacker practically instantly, whether their team's losing, or not.
People don't want to use hacks within communities like that, as they know there's no profit from it.
If our community was even half as mature, I guarantee we'd see a vast reduction in cheaters.
But therein lies the problem, our community, not to mention CF's ready availability for just about anyone to play it. -

In Uk Clan are less hackers most of the time Clans dont Allow them.
Play SnD there are ab 0 Hackers since they get kicked.
Maybe the People which you call hackers arent really Hacking? Stop QQ and face the Fact that some CF Players have a Headset or Luck

anyhow back to topic. i think the game would be better if they updated it every week like how lots of games do ^^ -

That would mean endless work for the GM's, they also need to work for the community, having ideas and start looking for new content... Patching every week would be necessary alot of coding hours and getting new conent for the game would be probably 5 times a year [example]. -
you don't have a clue about game related security. you don't know the reason why z8 changed their anti cheat, maybe the contract ran out? maybe they had a better relationship with xtrap?
when comparing xtrap to gameguard etc... they both perform equally. one doesn't work better than the other, it is the game developers work ethic that determines whether or not a certain cheat get's patched the next day or the next month.
they dont perform equally, they have 2 totally different approaches, gameguard was supposed to block the hackers, xtrap lets hackers through, detects irregularities in coding, and bans the player accordingly
when xtrap is updated it is a beautiful system, they just got lazy recently and didnt make anything new -

This ^
XTrap is NOTHING like GameGuard, who in turn, are nothing like PunkBuster. -
I didn't even bother reading the rest of the thread, besides the title, and I can only say one thing: Bad idea, what we have now can only get worse or better, and as a rule it is easier for things to get worse than better, hell look at the public school system!

I think he was talking about cross fire itself.WisdomAngel wrote: »i think we need to have patches more often so then we would see hackers less
Patches are about once a month... Any more than that and well just no... The developers wouldnt be able to keep up.
