I visit the forum's everyday as they are usually very informative and you get a good view on most thing's but i only started to post since the new ribbon come out ( had 18 posts prior )
So in my eye's the ribbon has worked by getting "some" of us involved in the community/forum's but there is also a c*ap load of spam floating around but at least you can see people getting banned from forum's for it so it should settle down in a few day's......hopefully
I bet the regular poster's are not happy
i havn't saw many post's by them since the spam outbreak

Everything you said there is pretty much correct. It's nice to have people like you join the forumers and have nice discussions, but the ribbon has only brought spammers that make it hard for people to have a proper conversation/discussion.
Like you said, hopefully the MODs/GMs will get ride of most the spammers and keep only people who are actually willing to have proper discussions rather than just spamming for the ribbons. -
Spammers are getting banned left and right, it's just we don't have MODs that can be on very early. If we had a MOD living in China or one living in Russia, which isn't ideal because they have their own versions of Cross Fire, they could take care of spammers in the early hours of the day. We have the UK / PT MODs [Giggle, dot, and Us3r] to take care of the mornings of EST [Around 8 AM - 3 PM] and generally the NA Mods take care of the time after that. It's just a continuous chain of whenever the MODs can get on a ban spammers.
To the person up there, this ribbon will be permanent, we can't wait it out, more people will make more accounts, and continue spamming. All we can do is try to evade the spammers and report them correctly. -

One of the basic rules I learned in forums was that you need to contribute something. There are many times I'll start a response, look it over, and then not post it because my contribution would be redundant or have no value. I don't see the point to adding nothing with my input (and I do admit to just typing a +1 to a good idea in suggestions, so I am also at fault).
