This is sad

So two day into are new and glorious savior patch against hack,ers. Guess what I have been playing with. *whispers* hackers. shocking isnt it? And guess who the first ones I ran into were? Can anyone guess? I will give you a hint, they have over 200 ping normally, dont understand "BEHIND YOU! HE IS BEHIND YOU!! TURN AROUND!! OMG do you not understand me??", they like to farm eachother and think they are pro for doing it, and they like to (SHHHHHH this is a HUGE secret, dont tell anyone, they dont want to know) hack.

Give up? It was two pro players from two of the top BR clans. They were running around a hero mode one hitting the mutants and walling them. Now to not just harp about the BR's I have also ran into some 80 to 150 ping hackers with the same setup as well. In fact there was 4 in one 15 round round that were there at the start, one of them scored into the near 400's. The fact that it is this bad already is trully sad. And how bad of laggers most of the players in ALL of the pub servers is sad.

So here is what I am suggesting.

1. How about something serious gets done about hackers? Xtrap is obviously not enough, and the hackers are not being gotten rid of fast enough. How about this as a serious method for the GM mods to think about. How about in game mods, players that the GM mods know for a fact are legit clean players that they can trust with the power to ban a player until they are reviewed by a GM mod. If the in game mod is caught abusing their power they get banned, simple as that. To be known as what they are they should be given some sort of mark that all players can see by their name. I know for a fact that BlindRob and Saiden know enough players from clans that are strictly non hack and very strongly fight against it. If players that hack where to start seeing these mods in their games and keep getting banned on the spot for hacking they would be less likely to hack. And some would even just give up on it cause they get tired of being banned.

2. GIVE US OUR PING LIMITERS ON OUR ROOMS!! How hard would it be to do that? It isn't unfair to anyone, let the laggers have their rooms and those of us that don't want to play against ppl that teleport all over the room set the ping limit for our room to 100 and below or whatever we feel is the highest we want in. And give a 10 second time limit for your ping to drop if you are spiked. This isn't unfair to ask, counter strike, the very game this one is based off of has an auto kick built into it if your ping gets out of control. If that outdated game can have that tech how can this one not?

I ask these things of you crossfire, or to do something to fix these issues. I know you guys are trying, but this is getting old, and it is killing this game.

  • Hmm, while I love the ping limiter idea, I see one problem with this.

    I average a 62/64 ping in almost every room I go in. But I've noticed, maybe one or two matches, my ping will jump for about five seconds, to around 200, and sometimes I've seen people with normally 150 ping jump to around 1000, but only for a few seconds.

    Ping limiters would kick me and these people out for just those few seconds, I imagine.
  • I feel the same My ping again is settling and reduced in Alpha, Charlie, etc is 110 O 100 And A Time To Jump To Another 500 or 1000 and is in all the Room is not conducive to My U_U

    You dont know that. Saiden has also said that "Nothing is written in stone". Thus we still have a chance.

    Moreover, this is indeed "killing the game" if it already hasnt for many UK and NA players.

    Im completly frustrated with the approach that Z8 is having toward the ping caps because... When this versian is exclusivly for UK and NA, it should stay that way, AKA not allow people from ACROSS the world to play in our servers, and thus degrade the playing enviroment.

    This here shows my frustration, especially in Hero Mode when a laggy mutant ends up hitting you:

    I get where you are coming from but keep in mind you have how many servers, how many rooms, how many in-game MOD do you expect to have? Second what if a MOD kicks a legit player who paid real money for 50%+ EXP or other limited time items. They going to give that time back? Final reason I don't think this will work is think about how much research of watching videos and other things like how many have reported, and what have you. They don't kick even a temporary kick unless they are sure that you hack. I really doubt they would give that ability to an in-game mod.

    actually..the 100-170ish range doesnt lag that much..the most that ever happens between those ping ranges are some tanked shots..but still, they load fairly decently.. it's not until like 190 when they start teleporting a bit or shooting from behind walls.. :P

  • It is obvious that some of the ppl that have chosen to reply in here did not read everything. When it comes to the in game mods they wont be noobs that will ban legit players, and for their ban to even count they have to have a replay of the game. And if they ban someone that isnt hacking out of spite like a nooby player would they get banned themselves. If someone legit was banned and had a 5o% exp for a week and they missed out on it I am sure z8 would refund them. You are looking at small things to argue against a big issue.

    And to the ppl complaining about the ping limit idea, how about you read all of what I said, I already covered spiking. But if you spike often and spike high you need to get kicked anyways cause high spikers are worse then steady laggers. If you can ever reach over 400 you should get auto kicked no matter the rooms limit. That level of lag is total bs.
