Make your own cf map(?)

I think, we can make crossfire maps. We need a map editor program. Is it possible this?

Example Own Make Maps Games: Soldat,CS vs...

Then what would be the point of devs making the maps they make...not make but bring to our game if users can easily make some themselves?

We take a map from china...put it in the folders..name it like ee..login to play ee...

They used to encourage people to post map ideas in the forum, But not one User-Designed map has made it onto Crossfire.. So.

It's unlikely that z8's going to release any kind of official map editor.

Well, CrossFire is not Counter Strike. So I seriously doubt they would ever release a map-editor to the public. As far as copying a map from another CF version and just placing it here. I doubt that would work for many reason. 1. Our client versioin may not support it. 2. Our files might not have neccasary models, textures, misc. that the map could require. 3. Our servers may not have the files as well
I may be wrong but the only way to play CrossFire is to go onto CrossFire's servers correct? It's not like you can randomly join any server you want like with a cracked server. Then again I may be wrong. I have never even gone into my CrossFire folder. It's a free game and I don't tinker with it at all.
However, if CrossFire ever "died" I think someone would release a map editor and a "stand-alone" version of CrossFire.

Where will be the Mod's job then .. + you make your own map with a few secrets and at begining you pwn cus just you know em. So thats not funny.

It could be a good idea,
But there could be so many glitches per map,
I guess what they could do is make a competition for the "Best created map"
Winner gets his map published into crossfire (Could also be category for each)

That's because Smilegate is playing king of the hill and they don't want people sticking their noses into their...hill (the game).

It's THEIR death...most SUCCESSFUL games allow more user customization them cr.ppy gun skins, cheap $5 looking player skins (look at the spop...you want to bang THAT???), and junk gun models...games like Tribes went on for years after the company gave up on it because they gave the community dev tools to make mods and player objects...that game pretty much JUST died, and the company gave up on it back in 2003...-__-

So, let smilegate do what they do before they start making a Crossfire 2 when this one dies 2 years from now.........................................................

It would take up to much bandwidth etc. for this to work, imagine streaming off some1 who is lagging with 14 other laggers streaming off him at the same time
