My idea...
Due to this ribbons for 250 forums posts, and all these idiots just spamming and posting stupid stuff (which will probably happen on this thread, saying nice idea and crap like that without reading one sentence) I've come up with an idea on how to keep the regular people who actually like using the forums and actually have an intelligent opinion in here to have their own section. Like, I've been talking with some friends who use the forums a good bit and everyones agreed that the forums have been a mess recently and its extremely annoying. In like a 5 page thread, there might only be 4-5 posts worth reading, So, here's my plan to give us thoughtful forumers something else.
Firstly, to have a special section for a certain catergory of CF forumers, calling ''Discussions'' or something. This would have to be an ''elite'' section and only a certain type of people can get the ability to post replies. Instead of having losts of idiots taking up space, and maybe turning off people from what was once and intelligent thread and discussion, into a complete shambles. I'm thinking of having the people who've always been smart and actually come out with intelligent things to say, whether they be good,bad,harsh etc e.g. Polleus, Denxi , Bruce etc.
To decide who gets into this section, I reckon there should be sort of an Acceptance Committee. And to get into this section you must first apply, then this committee votes on it. Maybe have them all in the same group on xfire or something like that, but anyway - back to the discussion. Have the committee of 5 members, but only 3 votes [lets say one person was away for a day, or another person was inactive] to be used to accept people. I mean - it would be a mess to have to wait weeks for the last voter to come online and then vote through the backlog of people. Possibly our mod's to take this position? [dot, us3r, bruce, polleus and giggle?].
Finally, I do think this would be better also for the newer forumers to have a look at what the ''old school'' people are talking about. Personally, one of the reasons I got better and more involved in this game and tournaments, was after reading from the likes of mrn, doop even zoom (sooYoung). Possibly this little association could have a positive affect on the rest of the community. And just to clarify everything, anyone can read the posts and threads - but only some can post.

idk, I think it would be easier if someone would just make a thread where ppl can randomly spam until they get bored or until they get the posts they need...
Yeah...but its easier to make 250 constructive posts without posting random bs no one gives a dam about. Cant believe we won the community of the year award.

But the people that would want to post something in this special category would be completely at the mercy of this acceptance committee, you wouldnt have much chance if you are not well-known on the forums, but would nonetheless like to contribute once in a while in this section...
Also how would this stop the "idiots", as you call them, from posting and spamming all over the rest of the forums? The clan section will continue to get age old threads necroed, people will still keep spamming the normal parts of the forum and apart from the upper class cf society section, the forum would remain in shambles.
You cant just have that one clean section; the clan, barracks and weapons categories are just as important imo.
Tbh I'd suggest either getting rid of this ridiculous ribbon altogether which is basically the source of this mess or to find an effective way to prevent or consequently ban or somehow penalize the ones that keep spamming threads.

The point of this ribbon isn't to spam. It's to one, take a first step into testing to make sure we can have future ribbons, and forum prizes, and to get more people active to the community.
While it's not a bad idea, and simple to set up, I do like it, but I'm not sure of what Saidin's outlook on it would be. What we want is for everyone to be together to post, not separate everyone like we had to do with Metin2 and CrossFire Offtopic.
And sadly, the reason your idea won't work, is because our MODCP is messed up, and we can't exactly put players into a special group so they could access this forum section. -

All the acceptance committe thing is stupid..... but a way to end this spamming stupidity would be really simple. Every time you create a thread you could have an option like this one: only people with (insert number here) posts or above can reply. -
