Greetings crossfire's staff and real forumers,
We are actually suffering of the spammers and our forum is no longer what it used to be, a cheerfull place where we could have fun and discuss of intelligent things. Something has to be done and therefore here is my demand:
We need these new MODs and they probably will be more helpfull then what you imagine.

I demand an election of 5 (yes 5) new MODs. Application only for 1000+ posters.
Please answer this, the situation is desperate. Actual MODs aren't and can't be here
enough because of their irl lives. We need some guys who would be here atleast once
an hour (excluding sleep time but including weekends).

It is starting to become pretty annoying.
But the only part that bothers me, is that it's not exactly hard to hold a reasonable discussion, putting points across and giving feedback, whether constructional or critical.
This's actually excluded a lot of us regulars from employing our favoured routines, as we haven't been able to maintain a conversation since all this started... -

but anyway i remember it as a funny time
i told how great SL and M12s are und u guys (most of u) told how bad they are ^^
if more ppl are active on these user forums Z8 is able to know better what the customer wants and thats good for all of us

I was waiting for that question. Yes I would apply. I never have applied before because I wasn't active on the forums and couldn't be.And you, like a good samaritan, offers yourself to be one of the new mods, han? :rolleyes:
And yeah, this situation it's a bit annoying.
Now I have a Galaxy S I can be here whenever I want, whenever you want. Plus my irl life is limited to school with my friends and sometimes (rarely more than once a week go out when I could be on my pc).Yes i like the idea. I'm on forums like all day with my ipod. But i don't want to take away jobs from MODS either..
That's kinda the idea. People like me and you who offer to spend a big part of their life to keep the forums clean. -

This is getting desperate. Even though I know regulars aren't often on at these times, never know...
Don't you guys feel sad about all this? Our routine as so well said by COOKIE...
I mean before all this we woke up logged on and clicked barracks and our threads from the night before where there waiting for us with a few more posts. We knew exactly when intersting people would be on or not (as right now). We talked with eachothers for god's sake!
But all this is over. Now all we get is to read 10pages to see if one person has replied to us.
Just look at the "Look what I won/ranked/badge thread" all those pages and posts were legit before and it was a never ending conversation. And now what has it become? A spamthread with a bunch of noobs saying gratz or random shiz just to raise their post count. It took me 24hours to find out Red33mer aka cake had lvl'ed up and about the same amount of time to find out about his gatling.
Something has to be done. Or you MODs accept to do what you were chosen for or you show this post to Saidin. -
Its not like they get paid to do this. These people are taking their time to volunteer to clean up this place and moderate it properly. Most of them are here many times of the day doing so. They do their best, trust me and thats on top of anything they have going on. Jobs, school, and just life in general. Cut them some slack. They've also been working to clean up the recent patch issues for you guys.
They are good mods, better than the last ones, and its more moderated than some game forums. Relax, its just rush week. It'll calm down. -

That would be a rationnal reason but I'm 16 and don't care yet.
I love this game, I'm addicted to this game and I want to be usefull to this game.

CV? And if your comparing any paying games to this one then there's already a flaw in that as most of the mods there probably get paid to do so. Therefore incentive.
I can understand your feelings though, but replacing mods are not the answer. We as a community are the reason there's problems to begin with. We have to set the example by doing intelligent discussions and encouraging people to do the same.
If we can't show them how to be a true forumer, do you really think we deserve any treatment? A ribbon to display proudly? Heh, we're better than that. But relax, as said, this always happens when new stuff comes out, this won't last long. -

Well, the thing about additional mods, and especially elected ones is that most are usually never cut out for the job. Its not easy to find qualified ones. They stopped doing applications because people would either lie, or it just didn't show them enough to determine if they were suitable.
But I do know they'll leave or trickle down to a minimum. Just like the people who generally spam the 'this patch sucks' or the 'omg this <new thing> is awesome!' or so on. They come in waves, like I said most will get bored due to impatience or forget about it when the next new thing comes. -
Well I agree but one thing ticks me off : the fact only people with 1000+ posts could vote. I'm a forum lurker, I barely ever post, but I read these forums pretty much everyday since like 5 months.
you're probably right. Would just make spammers spam even more.
What about only people which have posted their first post over a year ago? And they could make a ribbon for that. That way they would just have to clik on our characters profiles to see if we are allowed to apply or not.
But it won't happen. -
