Lagging :/

I'm lagging as hell on Crossfire...tho when I'm on Crossfire I dont open anything else except for Vent...My best friend tried to help me alot,sometimes I dont lag,but the other times I lag like hell...so is there any program or anything I can use or do so I stop lagging and play Crossfire in peace?

what kind of lag?
FPS LAG?
or
Ping Lag?
If its FPS lag then maybe running game booster. its a program that closes unessarry programs. Lower your graphics in the game to low. you can access this by in-game options. Turn your graphics card into "Quality" instead of performace. When using a laptop, make sure your battery gets on perfomace. This can be done by clicking your battery(Laptops only).
if its Ping lag... Then check your internet connections to see if its good. Make sure you're in the right server.
ex.. If you live in Canada... you should be in the alpha/bravo. etcc
USA- this can be in the canada server or miami or the US west server.
( sorry i havent been on for such along time, i forgot all the servers)
