Any of them except the Tar. The tar is a long range, bulky version of the streyer aug. Scar light is a fun gun to use but you'll be call a scrub for using it.
XM8 is a fun gun although the scope on it is a bit useless for me since 30% of it is a red dot that covers the oppenent a bit too much. I can use the scope but it takes practice to get used to it.
Type89 is really a good gun depending on how u shoot. If you shoot between 3-5 bullets as a burst, you'll absolutely love this gun. I've gone 61/10 with it in TDM's no hackage needed (which I never hack) however it shoots really fast for a rifle so you'll run out of bullets a bit sooner than any of the other guns even if you did burst fire with it. I think of it as a quieter version of the scar light and I don't get called a scrub or noob for using it.

Oh i'm sorry.. Didn't know my in-def description of the guns he asked for was noobish of me. :P

I know what you mean but it's not the gun that makes the soldier, at least it shouldn't be. Yes we do have our gun of choice but to be a good soldier, he/she should be able to kill with any gun that is given to him/her. Not rely on a scar light or a m12 to do the work for them. I have both of them and I use them occassionally because I know it upsets ppl. But it upsets ppl more when you use a gun that they use and pwn them with it.

Why is this weapon?

It depends on your preferred playing style.

For instance, if you prefer to "rush" then you will want a rapid firing or high damage weapon: in which case I would suggest either the TAR21 or the XM8.

If you like to "hang back" a.k.a. "camp" grab a scar light, it´s the best all round weapon if not a tad overpowered (in my opinion).

Or get the watered down version of the SL, the Type89: the only thing I can say about this gun is that it has a tight spray pattern (rarely used it)

In the end it is your choice, play a few Elimination matches, try out these guns if you have in-game friends who own them etc etc..

I like the m4a1, it's good for every mode

XM8 is the best gun out of what you picked.

tar21 is good for aim is low recoil
sl is also good dont lissen to the ppl that say noob sl
xm8 is 100% box damage also good gun
type98 is fail gun

Chose M4a1 Custom is very good is da best

just use one of the esl aproved weapons and i'm happy all those ****ing m12s noob who say they are good lol
