patcher wont work

hi im new here. i just downloaded the game and i click start game on the launcher and the patch never shows up. when i turn my computer off, the patcher shows up everytime i do that. i even waited for like an hour and patcher never showed up. i even kept clicking start at the launcher and it says patch is already running or something. PLEASE HELP!
