M4A1 because of the ease of use. Just as easy as a Scar Light. My personal favorite, although I do not own one, is the P90.

The best GP shop assault rifles are: M4a1, Ak-47, XM8, K2, and TAR-21
As for SMG: MP5 and K1a
Shotgun: Dual Desperados
Sniper: AWM
Pistol: Desert Eagle

You could argue that M12s is the best even though people complain when you use it. Other than that there is M4A1, AK47, AWM, TAR-21, XM8, Desert Eagle, Anaconda, Dual Desperado that you could consider as the best. Personally, I use TAR-21. It's the best for me.
