Which??

hi there. Im looking to start making some vids but im unsure as to which recording software to use

I already got sony vegas installed and ready for use but can someone tell me which recording software gives best quality and is relatively easy to use.

i tried growler gun cam but for some reason that was choppy as hell and was unbareable to watch maybe its jsut my settings wrong on there maybe some tips on using that too?
