Raising Intensity and Overbrightbits

Hello there!

I got trouble with my fps and stability of my connection.
So I was wondering if there was a way to Raise the R_Intensity and R_Overbrightbits to 4 without modding?
(We were doing it in the age of the 56k connections and that fixed everyones lag.)

Ps: Btw while im there is that a way to fix the Rate and the Snaps? its way too hight for my lil computer! ^^

    Yea, fixed your lag.... rriigghhtt.

The only thing R_Intensity and R_Overbrightbits does in any game is alter the brightness on certain textures. Neither has any influence on your internet connection in the slightly way.

Now, unlike the intensity and overbrightbits, which don't affect your connection, snaps and rate does. Snaps and rate have almost nothing to do with your computer but mainly your connection. Either way, I highly doubt Crossfire has anything set high enough that it would negatively affect your connection enough to matter in 2011.

I highly doubt that you're asking about these commands just because your connection and computer can't handle it (especially when you try to say brightness settings affect your lag), and I wouldn't be surprised if you're just trying to use this to give yourself an advantage such as modifying the settings to give brightskins or brightwalls or something of the like.
