I understand that you think it's better to block out harsh words, using ??? in crossfire. Couple things I'd like to point out though: First off, it honestly doesn't even help. People just start spelling things incorrectly, using substitutions (Like Sh!t) or just simply adding a period in the middle of a word. So are you to blame for the horrible grammar, that the players of CF have? I suggest adding a OPTIONAL mature language filter. Since this game is rated T for Teen, this opens up many things. First, creating a optional mature language filter, people who don't want to get called a douch/e, can block the word. Plus, if this feature is enabled, people won't add substitutions into the words, so the people who have it so they cant see harsh words, won't see it. People who don't want to see harsh words to this day. Still see the word, because everyone goes (exa.mple.) So, you'd be voiding any form of trouble, and all the reasons listed above.

Their way of doing stuff, actually got Light banned for 3 days, called someone a wet.back, when if they just do as I suggest; They'd see "???" But Light would see "Wet(NoPeriod)Back"

Well censor blocks that:
"with axe" becomes "wit???e"
"put a" is censored

Exactly, if they created a optional filter, they only need to block things like "fuc.k, ***" just the little things, and take out words that have spaces, or any attachments. I hate it when I'm typing something, then I come across a sentence that involves a word like for instance, "Refresh it" that would be "Refre???" how annoying?

I support this along with having the age limit be higher... To like 15 so we don't get many whiners or kids who beat CODMW2 on easy and think they own the place.. Hopefully it'll get rid of some BR's as well but you know them.. They have a hack for everything.

I don't care about age limits, I'll put 12 year olds in their place. And there is nothing they can do about players lying about their age.

Yeah it's stupid can't understand what others are saying in game. You're trying to type something and it will detect it as a curse that = Stupid.

One that I find real stupid is banning the word Christ.

So during the Christmas patch when I said happy Christmas it said happy ???mas.

The chat filter is beyond stupid, while they have online dating adds on the z8 site. so we cant swear but we can try to get laid. z8 is letting the game go to **** anyway. Battlefield play4free will be here soon and will put this game to shame. Oh yea NO SOUTH AMERICANS THERE EITHER!

Most people who play CF is because their computer can't handle games with high spec or prefer the classic gameplay

It's funny how most people don't realize that those adds usually get displayed by drawing information from your own browsing history.
