'Failed to download version.ini'

I am having this problem with an error message saying 'Failed to download version.ini' this occures when i start up crossfire, i click on the launch icon on my desktop, click play crossfire and it says that. I am not sure what is wrong with it, any suggestios on how to get it working i would be highly appreciative, some infomation- i downloaded Mirror 4 on west coast server, downloaded and redownloaded Crossfire about 4-5 times and still have the same problem, the title of the error message, not the info is 'Crossfire patcher V5'. It's really getting on my nerves now and would like a solution, Thank-you.
