I've killed many mutants when they turn red and go hide in a corner. I throw a nade in that corner and they can't get away. Or when people corner a mutant and just before the mutant turns red i throw a nade and i'm the one that kills the mutant. A mutatation nade can do 1000 damage when very close. I wouldn't buy it with zp though. I have it from M60-adv crates.

OT:The most one of those have ever taken out on me was 300 hp and I was standing on it. Not worth buying. -

If you're a big Mutation player, then yes, it's really helpful. You can get 2-3 kill easily with 1 throw. But, never throw a Mutation Grenade when you do not have any damage on the side. But this grenade may also distract you. Use it only in case of emergency.
It usually remove 700-800hp to a mutant.
If you play Mutation like I play Elimination, which means, rarely, don't buy it.
