And because I flinched she goes "I'm not wrestling with you" I was like "Erm fc off you just rammed a needle into my nerve 3 times till I passed out" stupid cow. God. I didn't say it but I was thinking it, and if I wasn't passed out over the floor she would have gotten a smack too.It usually happens when you are on edge. Your muscles tighten up, and your veins become harder to find.

I'm no where near on edge when I go to the hospital for blood exams, but I would totally do the same thing.Yes, I have. It happens when you have some half-wit standing next to your hospital bed, that can't tell the difference between a vein and a freakin' nerve. I actually decked the orderly that stuck the needle in my arm the wrong way. He was warned that would happen if he would mess up with me. Since I have nosocomephobia, I'm on edge when I'm in a hospital. So there is no room for error with me, for I will freak out and become violent. The guy left with a bloody nose, and the head nurse took over. Luckily, she knew what she was doing, so she managed to find my vein in one try.

As a side note, how much did they take out? Most I've had is 12 vials; 8 of the big ones, and 4 of the medium sized ones. -
well... Nerves don't exactly heal. It depends what tool she used. In this case, it's not as serious. Also, she might have been messing with your humerus. BTW, there is a humerus bone and people, most of the time, mistake the humerus bone. It's actually the humerus nerve, but people call it a bone for a reason, because it tickles you when you hit it hard, hence the name humerus. But actually it's the nerve reacting.
Hope I helped. -
Actually, no. The Humerus is the largest bone in your arm, connecting your shoulder to your elbow. You're thinking of the "Funny Bone" which is actually your Ulnar nerve.well... So I go back again on Wednesday same thing happens again. And now when ever I straighten my arm I get the electric shock feeling.
I will be going to the hospital to have them taken from my feet or something on Monday (god help me)
But just out of curiosity as anyone else had this electric shock feeling during or after having them done?
I´m a regular Blood Donar, the Nurses have trouble finding my Veins, as they are so deep.
But I must say, I have never experienced such a feeling during/after having given blood.
Go see your family Doc, he´ll fix you up. -
A male nurse/psw at my local hospital poked my arm while I was asleep at 3 in the morning. I m used to needles, however, I m not use to my skin getting bikini waxed after he removed the bandage off. If I wasnt so groggy and tired, his face whould have been concave.
