English
Well I was in careers, planning my 4-year plan to take in High-School next year, I looked at my national percentile for English and it was below 40%, so what kind of accent should I use to make people understand me better, since my current accent (my regular voice), people don't understand me at all!

None whatsoever. You are you, and you shouldn't have to change anything about yourself or your "accent".SengchanhX wrote: »Well I was in careers, planning my 4-year plan to take in High-School next year, I looked at my national percentile for English and it was below 40%, so what kind of accent should I use to make people understand me better, since my current accent (my regular voice), people don't understand me at all!
I always frown upon people that complain about someone's accent. They may not speak English "perfectly", but they're bilingual at the least; that in it self is an admirable feature. -
if you admire someone who speaks english as a second language after moving to the us or canada then you don't know how easy it is to learn and speak englishGreen_Ranger wrote: »None whatsoever. You are you, and you shouldn't have to change anything about yourself or your "accent".

English is widely considered a tough language to master. And I believe I mentioned being bilingual is an admirable feature; most people that complain about language barriers caused by a simple accent are too ignorant to learn a new language.GoPatriots wrote: »if you admire someone who speaks english as a second language after moving to the us or canada then you don't know how easy it is to learn and speak english -

Did you emigrate and learn it after, or learn it while "growing up" here?GoPatriots wrote: »russsssian
Even if both languages are similar and the transition isn't too difficult, the effort was made to further your communication skills, and that deserves recognition. Knowing more than one language can open new doors in many careers. -

Ot: well maybe just work on your pronounciation. That should help somewhat. You are also very young, you have a long time to "fix" it! -

Someone's been using websites... -
I've noticed that most hard to understand is 'american english'.
Don't mean for bad to you people, but usually those who have to learn English as 2nd, 3rd, 4th ect. language learns the British one.
For example I don't have even idea what some words means in American English.
When you are talking to someone who's English isn't 'good', try use British one.
Otherwise just talk like you want.
If someone have problems to understand, if possible type/write it.
Text is easier to understand than talking.
<*^_^*>
Offtopic: Some people says that I got Aussie accent. O.o -
Lol, it's pretty intuitive that English is a difficult language to master if you have not grown up speaking/writing it (and sometimes difficult if you have grown up using it).Someone's been using websites...
English has a ton of rules governing "correct grammar", changing the stress on a certain word can change the meaning of a sentence, words that can be spelled similarly can mean very different things...etc. -
