Lag spikes with new monitor

Ever since I got my new HD monitor with my 3 old month ATI 5670 HD graphix card, I've been lag spiking alot. When i didn't have my new monitor but only my new graphix card, my ping was still stable. Also, I'm using cable as internet and I still lag... Any ideas on how to make my ping stable?

Unless your monitor doubles up as a router, it'll have literally 0% affect on your ping.

Unless you mean fps spikes?

Not FPS spikes, FPS stays usually the same just lag spikes... I'm really confused as well...

W8 but my FPS is around 90-110 while my ping is 14 and usually spikes up to 16XX... so how can it be FPS, also are there any solutions to this?

What resolution do you have your monitor/CrossFire at?

Your GPU should easily be able to display all of CF's current supported resolutions, but if your monitor's resolution is way high, that's gonna cause some fps spikes.
