You are kidding right?
In case your not, the stars mean regular kills, the arrows are knife kills (not shown in your SS') and the skulls are headshots (gold and silver respectively) and finally the 10's represent a group of 10 kills.

(btw I own this game for 2 years and never paid attention:D)
